The very first Metallica album I ever bought. Waaay back in 1987. It caused me to move from being a punker, to a metalhead. also this band turned me on to a certain band called SEPULTURA.....still love punk too.
just cranked this up to piss off the teenager across the hallway who keeps playing crappy rap music all day and night...fucking forgot how much i love this album. now its for me and im turning it up louder at age 49.lets fucking do this baby
funny cause metallica loves rap and hiphop and embrace the culture, stop shitting on one genre to explain another, its whats kept so much great metal music out of the spotlight because yall bring racist undertones with it

Never getting tired of listening to this. Undiscridible kick ass! This was an expiriment that turned out above expectations. Original speed / thrash. They don't make them like this anymore, what a shame! This is METALLICA, no shit! 😈🤘🎸
HELPLESS GOTTA HEAR THE THUNDER ROOL COMING FROM ABOVE. This is what I listen to just about EVERY DAY getting ready for work like right now. Besides when it's done I know I sent a half hour
I remember in like 89-90 when I was 9 or 10, and a friend gave me a copied tape of this with no song titles, and I thought James in "Helpless" was saying "Douglas!! Douglasssss!"
Huge Metallica fan here. 1st song was "Whiplash" My old buddy was jamming it out. I loved Metallica and Metal since that very day. I believe i was 10. My thoughts are. Jason's Bass was so loud on this recording. Thats fine. But it killed Lars kicks you can tell if you are a drummer, And you can hear it. When they mixed "Justice" Lars didn't want his kicks drowned out in the low end with the Bass mix. Makes sense if you think about it. Never the less. Both are killer albums. 🤘🤘
Great EP Helps probably that I don't know any of these songs so it's very fresh sounding but either way I'm sure it'd sound fantastic Someone said Garage Inc is better. It's considered a compilation album and has a pretty substantially lower rating on RYM. Worth a listen?
best album period huh with a band like this the fact that the eighties weren't quite over when they did this ep i mean they were already way ahead of everyone else with their early stuff so when this came out it just helped solidify their place in the rock and metal music communities that they had helped to establish
Best band practice songs EVER. If you're looking for a band member, have them play these songs. If they don't know them, I hear Linda Rondstad is looking for a new drummer.
9:37 pm I have listened to Metallica before I started eating moonpies and I can tell you I never get tired of them and above all this album Im 55 years old
This was my Go-To Music I would listen to Before my Highschool Hockey Games. I was the Youngest player (jr highschool) on the Team, but I played like my life was at stake. This Particular Metellica Album takes me Right Back to those Awesome Days.
I can see the stars, but i cant see whats going on! Every night alone, sing my song just for fun! only time will tell, if i made my whjwyyhfnfo! suspicious mind, music is my destiny! CANNOT TAKE THIS LIFE FROM ME!!!
O.K. here comes my story. II never liked metal at all and I hated it when my friends played Metallica, Iron Maiden, WASP, Accept, Zaxxon and the likes....Then - I was 14, I rode a light motorbike, when the police stopped me. In Germany we have a insurance system for light motorbikes that indicates the insurences validity by colour. All I had was a old blue plate while the year was black. Easy fix - paint it black. Also Helmets became mandatory around that time but I did not give a fuck about that. Hence I was stopped for riding without helmet and got cought in the act by doing insurance fraud with the painted plate...The judge ordered me to do 14 days of community service. Cleaning ambulances at Schorndorf District Hospital. Boring the very first day, so I asked my friend if I can borrow his walkman. He only had one cassette. Guess what it was....$5.98 EP. I hated it the first day got used to it and absolutely loved it when the 14 days were over. Boys, listening to this takes me back to that childhood memory and yes, I love metal now - all sorts of....
take any title: look at who is the creator, it is not a metallica album, it is james and lars influences from NWOBHM, sorry to precise, let's talk about anti-nowhere league diamond head and alikes.
THIS was the sound they were looking for is my opinion. Then that ass Bob Rock got hold of them, and pretty much everything after the black album until St. Anger wasn't that great to me......

Same here dude. Metallica was my gateway drug :)
Cavalera sepultura I hope, not the fake shit
I wouldn't trade being born in the mid 70s for anything...we grew up with such great music.

There is a good chance I've listened to this cd more times than anything else in my life. And it still gets me pumped to this day.
It used to start my hung over lawn mowing every Saturday as a teenager. Then the Megadeth so far so good so what!?! Would pop into my walkman.
Same. Literally.
Same. Too many times.

My thoughts exactly!
The Wait is epic!
I had this back in the day and listen the record to near death in wait of the Justice record.
Sweet memories!
Their best album. Period.
So you prefer Metallica as a cover band?
I agree
Yes.
Have you even heard Master of Puppets?
I agree they could have stopped here and still been one of the greatest.
Brings back the good old days
I spent my younger days with this tape on repeat. It harder these days, still one of the best albums I have ever owned.
I did a hit of blotter paper and listen to this for six hours straight. And went to Green hell🫨
Only one?
I never do less than five
This is the 🥇 best album brings back memories i was fifteen years old now I'm fifty five years old go Metallica
If you are 55 then you were 18:))) (me too)

Best 5 songs since the sad passing of the Legend Cliff Burton. Lars's drumming and Jamz Vox is fucking killer in this.

Go maiden..my 1st concert..somewhere in time..87
wish theyd done a version of run to hills, classy and amusing touch nevertheles
They weren't "trying", more like mocking.
They weren't mocking. James has said it was our nod to maiden. They play too many notes. And we were hella drunk...
