Bought my Mk 3.5 Titanium 1.5 tdci 120 in June 2021 with 71k miles on the clock. I have covered 16k miles in the car to Sept 2022. Mechanically and electrics wise there have been no issues with the car except that the air con system needed a new condenser unit and to be regassed - total cost of this repair was €400. Fuel economy has been really strong with the car averaging 57mpg. The car looks sporty, especially from the side and front. Refinement levels, especially tyre and road noise are much improved over the mk 2.5 model, which I owned previously. Gearbox is lovely to use and with cruise control, SYNC 3 and dual zone climate control, the car has all the tech I need. There is some very clever storage options in the centre console. Finally, the car is very refined when just cruising, but if you find a twisty back road, and you decide to have a little fun, the car comes alive and puts a smile on my face, by the way it corners and responds. On the downside, the the driver seat angle on the Titanium spec is a little steeper than the mk 2.5 and the mk 3.5 Zetec seats which leads to moderate back ache/bum ache on longer trips (i.e. trips of say more than 1 hour…in future, a driver seat with “tilt” functionality is advised if there are concerns about the angle of decline on the driver’s seat…Also, I am 6ft 2 in height, so it maybe that shorter drivers will not experience the same issue - I use a wedge cushion which has improved the issue a lot - just wondering does anyone have any other suggestions to make the driver's seat more comfortable on long runs - much appreciated
@@leejaymarsh9021 If only we knew that in advance of purchasing ... but as a solution I find the wedge cushion works well... how is your Titanium X faring out over all?
@@colmfoley5583 I give it 8 out of 10 ,, I do find seat can be bit hard. .I do think my focus 04 plate was better, but my mk 3.5 is better . Its strange. I chop and change which focus I like best
@@colmfoley5583 Yes, I bought a Titanium 150TDCI engine in April only had 44600 miles but the leather seats get me. So resorted to wedge cushion. Not as comfortable as my old Mk3 Mondeo but a long younger and seem s very powerful with teh 2L diesel engine. Can you alter teh lumbar with teh lever on teh side of cushion? Not got teh manual
@@Finglesham Altering the lumbar support setting doesn't make any real difference... for me it is the angle of the seat base that is the issue... But the wedge cushion is a good solution.... an adjustable seat base would help as well... the seat on my MK 2.5 Focus was much more comfortable
Thank you for the subtitles in your Video, for me as a german it was great to follow your Review without Problems. It was a really great Review, such one I searched for!
I have the diesel hatchback in the latest shape ... great to drive despite the odd clunk when changing gear. The diesel is not loud in the hatchback ... much quieter than my previous car, an Audi A3. I drive the car hard and get a tad over 5 litres per 100km from it.
Ford makes cars that are usually fun to drive. I drove Focus mk2 and it drives very well, you just want to sit behind the steering wheel. Since nowadays many cars are about getting you from A to B, it is nice to see there are still engaging vehicles in compact segment. And I am not talking about acceleration.
I am going to get one next year. Can't wait to get it. Currently driving a Ford Focus Mk2 Fase 2 2009. Love it!! Bought it btw in Łódz ;-) I tak.. mowię po Polsku. But I live in the Netherlands.
Hi, You are making nice videos! Btw. I have bought a month ago a new red Focus Estate just in basic Trend setup with 1.6 77 kW petrol motor. I love this car, I changed it instead of my old Defender 110 TD5 and it's like to enter the spaceship... :-) I tested also Megane, Astra, C3 Picasso and the winner is for me the Focus. Love the design and interior too... Maybe also it little reminds me Mustang - some similar feel from the front "look" :-) Cheers!
Hello, can you say what the noise level is in the cabin,at motorway speeds ?do you get wind or tire noise,do you have to turn louder the stereo?or is it a quiet car at speeds over 120km/h? Thank you
Out of all the Slav peoples, it amazes me how good you Poles are at speaking English - it sounds so good. The Russians for instance sound like they all have rusty steel plates welded into their throats when they speak English haha.
I would disagree with you. He is exception and his level of English is top. I am Croatian and we speek English well without accent. Problem is that a lot of TV programs had full synchronisation from English to domestic language so people can't hear proper way to pronounce the words. I remember once when my Italian friends visited us and for the first time heard Baywatch cast talking. They were like this 👀.
There are not enough amateur people doing this kind of reviews - or so it seems. And this is how we're getting part of another guy who claims he tells me everything I need to know about the car...without telling me anything really. Great job man! I bet ignorant people are really looking up to your reviews. Oh, and as an advice, next time when you compare a compact car's plastics to another car, make sure you're staying in the front seat.
Marek please tell me between the focus you tested and the nissan qasqhai 1.5dci you also tested witch one has the best buil/material interior. And those two already have te adblue euroVI liquid right? Finally do you have a video where you try the civic 1.6 i-dtec and what you think about it in terms of engine and interior in comparison with those two i mentioned. Thank you. Can´t wait for more videos from you.
***** My review is of a Qashqai 1.2 DIG-T, and the Civic is 1.8 petrol. But even their diesel variants do not have AdBlue. I think you should go to both dealerships and decide for yourself, which car has better build quality. I think they are too close to tell.
Even if the car seems good from the dealer. Can one expect a trouble free life when buying this kind or any kind of Ford? Mazda and the koreans are offering plenty of warranty. At least in Sweden Mazda offers 10 years! I think living costs and depreciation is something to consider, and maybe you can start touching on in future reviews.
Agree to the lack of space, but the engine is neither noisier nor is there more plastic than in a contemporary VW. And also the ride is anything but uncomfortable. You can tell that he doesnt like the car from the off. So not exactly a good and neutral evaluation in this video, there are better ones.
I guess you haven't seen his other videos, this is one of the most positive ones. He shits on every car, atleast a little bit, sometimes alot. As he should, because no car is perfect.
A month ago i bought one, with 230.000km on it.
It drives perfect
The engine i dry
No problems at al

I don't think the 1.5 tdci engine is noisy. my neighbours Vauxhall insignia "whisper diesel" sounds like a tractor compared to my Focus.
"Whisper diesel"? LOL!
My Ford is in Deep Impact Blue like your Test Focus. I have the 2.0TDCI 150BHP.
excellent english and a very nice review!
got my new titanium x last week , touchscreen display already on the blink :(it is my first brand new car so feeling disappointed
Great review :-) very helpful

I mean, they won't mind the extra work.
I enjoyed you review. Have you done a review of the 2015 Mondeo estate?
No. Just the regular 5d Mondeo and Mondeo Vignale.

Collision mitigating/city safety/whatever it's called.
Would like to see your review on the new Toyota Camry hybrid please
Thanks
