  • What's getting Miller fired up this Spring, you ask?
Well, we have a 1912 Rudge that Sammy and Jim have nearly finished restoring - just some issues to iron out with the magneto, as you will find out!
Sammy has also recently acquired a Rumi engine bottom end, which he has used as an opportunity to give you all a lesson in assembling motorcycle gearboxes!
Additionally, there are some developments with the AJS 7R from previous videos that are not to be missed. Evidence is mounting that this machine did belong to the great Mike Hailwood, after all!

I just love Sammy Miller’s brutal honesty when it comes to bad design on classic machines!

I'm surprised that some know it all isn't arguing with him.

Sammy if you need to know the frame number you will have to have it X-rayed to see the number. Always makes me happy to here you say an other day in Paradise.

Owned and ridden a few Japanese singles on and off road. Laid on the tank of my DR/SP500 flat out for miles. That 7R is awesome. Of course, the Japanese singles had no primary chain to worry about. Honda and Kawasaki fours used a chain but it ran in oil and was pretty bulletproof. Thanks Sam.

With the Rumi and it horizontal split crank cases, another good idea copied by Japanese manufacturers

    Hi,
very interested in the directional point section. I have a 1948 Velocette MAC that I think may have the wrong direction points. I've looked on the internet but, as yet, haven't been able to find any reason for correct direction being better and or why ?

Why Ajs 7R is using magnesium engine cases?
