@@AndrogynousMIE WELL, Things where a bit different at the Chateau because of Corona... Mommy was "trapped" there, and Nick and his family came for lockdown. There where none of the expected guests for the bed and breakfast, so there was a lot of time for other projects - and lovely meals and fun. Stephanies UA-cam channel - and Patreon page grew substantially. And fans sent a LOT of love, and lovely gifts. So I do think that Corona made some impact on life at Lalande....
Sad to see Nic, Marie and Antoine leaving - it's been really nice 'getting to know' them over the past few months and they really add to the Vlogs. Hurry back :)

They are like pushy guests, looking into rooms and behind cabinet doors and once they get in, they are there for the duration.

I think the plant nursery sent you a mis-labeled plant. The thing called "green-coriander-of-the-woods" looks like Houttynia cordata, known as "fish mint" and used in Vietnamese & Chinese cooking. It's also used as a cheap groundcover because it is a garden thug. "Green-coriander" is a West Indian culinary plant called Eryngium foetidum and used to replace coriander.
A very wonderful day in the garden. Stephanie, I've just turned 60 and my Mummy is 82... I'm still her baby and it will never change, which I adore. Her Mummy was the same.... My grandfather was Aldoria Lalande with farmerland in Ontario Migrated from Quebec Apparently descendant's from an important royal line back in the day..
Unfortunately, I can only trace back to my great-grandparents. Family names were changed and no one knows the original names. Have you traced your lineage? It would be such an amazing adventure.
The garden will be the livelyhood of the chateau along with some meat you can get from the chickens and lamb. Canning the vegetables and fruit will stock you for some time if we have a food shortage. Just enjoy the design of the garden as it coming along all organized with vegetables, herbs, fruit, flowers you have planted all the Chateau will need to sustain the estate. Love it all.
