Stunning Tiny House with THE BEST Kitchen & Loft Design - FULL TOUR

- This might be the BEST tiny house ever!* It's a compact size at only 25 feet long, but it packs in a massive chef's kitchen, loads of built-in storage, a spacious bathroom, a cozy living room nook, a master loft with standing head room, and a spare loft for kids, guests or storage. It was built by Devin Heck on Vancouver Island, BC - he's a red seal carpenter who builds tiny homes in his spare time. This is his second DIY tiny home and he has a third underway. Not only is the design incredibly functional and liveable, but the price he sold it for is very reasonable at $120,000 CAD (approx. $87,000 USD).

This tiny home has some great unique features like a wrap-around kitchen with a mini bay window for plants, a custom couch with storage cubbies underneath, a curved storage staircase with cable railing, a full closet in the main loft, a walkway on the second floor that connects the two bedrooms, and a little entrance where you could store coats and shoes.
The tiny house on wheels measures 25' long x 9' 6" wide and with the lofts it's approx. 400 square feet or 37 square meters. It's also built on a custom triple axle trailer. We love to tour clever tiny house designs like this and hope you enjoyed taking a peek at the interior design and layout of this one!

I bought this! Devin did an incredible job. He and his wife have been a joy to work with. The tiny house will remain on Vancouver island on a nice property surrounded by giant trees.

Amazing for the cost! I love how Shayes Tiny Homes in New Zealand has inspired this layout for many tiny home builders. She was the first to do this sort of layout years ago and now I see it all the time. 😊

I love the colors in this tiny home. I love green and I love the way you did the outside torching the wood. I saw someone on HGTV do this process but did not use any sealant, oil etc over it and it looked like black boards, In short, a black tiny house. It wasn't at all attractive but yours is absolutely gorgeous.
I like that the master bedroom has headspace where you can actually stand up in it. I believe I would get claustrophobic otherwise.
I would give anything to sell my home which is close to 1600 square feet and downsize in a tiny home. I have so much clutter and I think that comes along with having a larger house.
The shiplap walls look so elegant, as does the entire tiny house. The kitchen being so large has definitely made it a baker's dream. Congratulations on such a beautiful build!!!

I really like that you can stand up in the bedroom loft which is a luxury compared to most where you have to crawl on your hands & knees.Ouch,my back!
Yeah that's a definite plus - couldn't imagine not standing up.
I think he optimized it as much as possible - though I've seen someone put a bite out of the downstairs (where the bathroom is) - to put your feet in, and made an office out of the other loft.
Not sure if that's possible here, but having the option might be nice.

Well designed, love the color scheme.
Depending upon the depth under the couch it kind of looks like small decorative baskets could be put between the "joists" of the couch to store small items. All in all this is a very clever design and looks inviting, especially once personalized with pictures and wall hangings and such.

The mattress rests on the kitchen ceiling.
The home is thought out and very liveable. I like that you don't have to crawl to get into bed. Can I ask how tall you are it will give me a better idea.

This is really nice. Love the exterior finish. The second upstairs loft could be a reading / TV nook. Beautiful craftsmanship throughout. Spacious, lovely kitchen. The two things I'd tweak would be to round the corners of that kitchen countertop and get rid of the back hallway, making the entire area into a larger bathroom with pocket door. Kudos though for a job beautifully done!

I'd love to have a Tiny house like this , really love the layout and how you did the steps up to the lofts , Kitchen is perfect right down to design and color, windows Oh ya ! The bedrooms are epic as is the storage throughout . It looks soo much larger inside than out. the bathroom is gorgeous I agree it would be hard to sell this home you constructed ., You are quit the builder . Well done Devin !

props for talking about how much it cost, just in materials. (80k canadian) Sold it for pretty low price as well (120k CAN) basically just broke even because labor aint cheap.
