- We go behind the wheel for a crazy drive in the ultimate underground showdown with two insanely fast supercharged V8 Australian cars! Featuring the mighty Holden Commodore (Pontiac G8 / Chevy SS) with its trusty V8 LS in the form of a VE SS and a VF SS, one now sports a Harrop Supercharger and one with an LSA Supercharger but which one is best? Which one is faster? And which one would you drive home?

The VF is my pick, but I’d put the Harrop in it over the 1900. I’ve got a VFII SS Ute with the Harrop 2650 and it’s pushing 900hp too. Such a fun car to own

@@MrSelayi hey mate I also have a similar set up 2300 on an ls3 vf2 what are your rear wheel tyre and rim measurements and also have you changed the diff - if so did you have the speedo recalibrated

Loved my VF 8, (seriously held back the tears seeing the new owner driving it away??) 'but' my current Tesla Long Range doing 4.1sec to 100km & instant torque while leaving the VF GTS at the lights 'from start' in the rear view mirror is next level.. to all the haters, try before you comment.. try one - Quick as, sound system with 17 speakers is next level and costs me $35 a month to charge vs $420 petrol on the 8. long term I don't care, it's a lease!

AWESOME Had a VE HOLEN But in UK Where i Live / it's Called a Vauxhall VXR8 6.2 All i Can Say is ./ SMILES PER GALLON
what exhaust system is the ve ss running sounds good
3" full hurricane exhaust system, 17/8 ceramic coated headers, high flow cats and 110mm throttle body which made the blower scream

No buddy, not needed for neither noise nor performance. I also prefer keep it screaming from the start of the ride till the end of it

also what did you do the trans upgraded gears or just the cooler
still a 6 speed 6L80 but completely built (Craigs automatic built)

I've got The Whipple 2.9L supercharger on my ve on 9psi 98 fuel Making a easy 750rwhp

They both get in action at the track though, I reckon that's the only time all that horse power is put on the road

It is a matter of preference I guess. pushing this much power with this amount of torque in a manual is always a nightmare though
