  • This is the conclusion of the entire build series. Parts swapped over from the other car are as follows:
    1, Evo subframe and steering rack
    2, Evo 7.5GTA exhaust manifold and TDO5 turbo
    3, Evo 7/8 fuel rail and injectors
    4, Evo 8 cams and valve springs
    5, Aluminum DD radiator and fans
    6, Work Engineering FPR
    7, Carbing oil catch can
    8, Yellow adjustable suspension
    9, Rallyart rear muffler
    10, half leather interior and door cards
    11, Evo 7 front mount intercooler and all related piping
    My apologies for not taking a video if the car making a pull on the dyno. Its final results was in fact 200whp @1bar and 230whp @ 1.5 bar boost.
    This was on all a 4wd Mustang dyno.

    i love my trek r ,had it 5 years now for some reason i just cant sell it,the owner in japan must of had a huge spending spree as it come with nearly all the ralliart parts from the catalogue,i never knew the ralliart backbox was desirable so glad it come with it :)

    Hi Kevin! I love the reviews and mods, Can you show me where you had bought your aluminum radiator? Or point me in the right direction?

      Hi Mathew. The radiator is of a DD brand and it can be bought new from mun Lee half cut shop as it is their in-house brand. in puchong. Are you located in Malaysia?

      Hi Jeff. This is my daily driver. If I were to sell it. It will be an offer I cannot refuse. Conclusion is everything is for sale at the right price

      Lighter due to the alloy lower arms n quicker steering rack. All else the same.

    Hi Kevin! May I know where is the boost meter line pass through at the firewall? Tried to install one but cant find a hole at the firewall to pass through the boost meter hose

      Hi! Machinekids! Sorry for the late reply. My UA-cam setting did not allow me to reply to you. ok there is a small 20mm rubber grommet on the driver side firewall on the far right bottom. Near the accelerator pedal which is not used much. it is behind the front right strut tower and on the far inside right of the master pump. I hope this is detail enough for you to find it. The hole is low at the foot well area. Nice UA-cam channel you have by the way. Thanks for watching and keep up the great work.

      Evo 789 subframe and steering racks are all Pnp but you will need to reuse your airtrek knuckles to maintain the airtrek drive shafts.. This will allow you to ride on the standard ride height. If u use Evo knuckles and drive shaft. I hear it will not give you the right telemetry

      U also manage to adjust the gear change rite...

      @@alongfakha4805 hi. Steven is the tuner for my airtrek on 2 occasions. Pre and post upgrade. U can contact him at +60 12-365 0400. I got it wrong when I said that he would tune the gearbox shifts. In a way he dectates how sensitive the throttle position sensor is to how the gearbox shifts gears. Ie for economy. Low rpm shifts come faster n vice versa.

    Hi there im interested in buying one of these but i was juat wondering how is it possible that all the sites i look up says this vehicle comes out from factory stock 236bhp and you modified quite abit and only got 200bhp? I was expecting 300bhp from your car to be honest... Is there only 1 type of the tuebo version of this vehicle or is there a more detuned one?

      Hi Yusuf. The standard airtrek turbo is a td04 turbine which is small and runs out of airflow after 4500rpm. It is very responsive and fun to drive in town as the pick up is fast. If not mistaken the stock turbo with stock tune nets about 170whp. I cannot verify as I did not dyno the car with the td04 turbine. I think 236bhp you are seeing on paper is on crank. I don't know what it would translate to on 4 wheels. My results of 200hp is on all 4 wheels on a Mustang dyno with 0.8bar boost. I made 218whp on the same Mustang dyno at 1.4bar. Reason why the gains were to small on so much more boost is because I ran out of turbo Efficiency. The td05 turbin I m using is from a evo7.5gta which uses the smallest rear housing in the Evo td05 range. Its for responds as well. At least it flows all the way to 6000rpm.

      To be honest just buy engine heatshild covers to protect the cam angle sensor and radiator top hose as well s the front valve cover heat shield to prevent leaking valve covers. Will be buying them from a local fabricator called GME

      That's actually a good head start you would have against my stock car purchase. The only problem with the Evo 8 turbo is that it was meant for a manual vehicle. If you have an auto airtrek. There will be substantially noticeable lag in the powerband. Unless it has been tuned properly. I hope along with the Evo 8 turbo the previous owner had all the associated Evo 8 parts installed to match. The airtrek is a big car and a small suv. It's good for my use with 2 kids and alot of gear we lug around on a daily basis. I would highly recommend the airtrek as a sporty well rounded do it all vehicle for spirited driving as well as family duty.

      @@thedrvnfrom the description everything has been done right. I would not hesitate to buy this car given the opportunity if I were in the market to do so. The turbo fitted is the best turbo you can fit on par with the evo9 turbos. They are the fastest spooling and most robust. This car makes my car sound like child's play.
