Changed the pegs on my Night Train (both rider and passenger) without snap ring pliers and you ain't lying, it was a pain.
Right!! When I did last year it flew somewhere and took me a day to find it 😂😂
Also known as ‘Gee-whiz Clips’. Because when using a screwdriver on them, then they fly across the shop. You say “Gee-whiz where in the &#@$ did that go!”

I always take pictures when I'm taking things apart for the first time. We all have a phone close these days and using the camera has saved me a couple times when its time to reinstall. Hello Moto Blonde, Just a little tip. that clip you took off is a C clip not a snap ring. all you need is a screw driver to pop it off. Keep up the good work!
You’re right! And yes, definitely could have used a screwdriver - last time I did though it flew off somewhere and I searched forever 😂 these definitely came in handy lol.

Well I do take forever to buy things, especially pricey items, and tend to watch and read 100s of reviews before I make decision, but never have bought an item and returned it, although do have buyers remorse at times more the did I really need to spend that much on that right now lol. Don't take this wrong, but snap ring pliers are for the clips with holes in the separated ends. While an e-clip, which you showed, can be removed with a small flathead screwdriver, while holding something over it to keep it from flying off. And, no, I am not trying to be a smartass.
Totally agree, didn’t take it wrong at all. Appreciate it! I’ve done it with a flathead and the thing flew across the garage - tried it with these and it worked great. Totally not necessary to use them, but it went a lot smoother for me anyway 😂

Just added it! They are Bung King 8" 2" pullback risers - just double check they work with your bike! I got mine through the dealership.
Just so you know, you didn’t need snap ring pliers. 2018 and up softail uses a regular C clamp that you can remove and install with pliers. Just pull and push. Snap rings were the older pegs with the 2 circles on either end
I always feel better using the snap ring pliers - I lose the c clips less that way lol! But I do realize I didn't call them c clips. Thanks for watching!

Ah, yes. Snap ring pliers. You rarely need them, but when you do need them, YOU REALLY NEED THEM. I have a cheap set from Sears that I bought in the 20th century. Not the best quality, but, as you say, they do the job.

Lol awesome video! Super easy to change the whole look and feel of the bike. It took my friend 5mins to switch my pegs out / shifter peg etc. HA!
Also, keep up with the TIPS. If people already know how to do all this stuff they may not watch your videos. I don't - so wouldn't think to do half the stuff you did here :)

I'm tossed between the coffin style and the mini floorboards for the front. I wish you would of compared the two. I will do mini floorboard for the passenger.

I don’t think I’ve ever taken off snap rings or eclips with the pliers. I usually install it with them if I can’t get it by hand haha. They do come in hand though as long as the tips fit.
Every time I did it before I said NEVER AGAIN - so I finally got myself a pair. Not 100% necessary, but it makes it so much easier, for me anyway lol
@@MotoBlonde no doubt! They wouldn’t exist if we never needed them xD im mostly laughing at myself. I’m also the person who buys kits of those things incase I ever loose them or mishape them because Murphy likes to hangout with me in the garage haha.

I need help.i got stuck with an 883 and im 5'1...bruh... its way too big. and I dislike the other Harleys so much they look kinda ugly . what the best bike. I was thinking maybe one of the Indians. but idk which one.
I'd say go to different dealerships and sit on them and see what you like! I loved my 883 but it's all personal preference as well!
