Si seulement ils l’avaient laissée guérir de ses blessures et se reposer elle aurait encore pu vivre une vie dont elle avait rêvé avec ou sans gymnastique. Elle aurait fait un bon entraîneur rigoureux mais très attentif … la gymnastique a perdu un immense talent et le monde une si belle personne… rip Elena ❤
THE BEST, NADIA WAS OVERRATED. There is A LOT of sad stories in gymnasts but this one, BREAKS MY HEART IN MILLIONS OF PIECES. Her father left her, her mothet died when she was 5, she was forced to compete injured, her mind was destroyed, they abused of her talent, she loved that sport at first but you can see clearly how she doesn't want to be there and look at her eyes when she was "smiling", she wanted to cry so bad. No one listened to her warnings, the system ate her alive and they killed her.

Elena talvez no hubiese podido hacer cosas que Nadia hizo pero Nadia, definitivamente no hubiese podido hacer cosas que Elena, incluso creo. Estaban las dos al mismo nivel pero yo prefiero a Elena. Las gimnastas Rusas, sobretodo Elena que era la reliquia del equipo, eran mas artisticas en las rutinas de piso. No vamos a ver nunca mas otra Nadia o Elena

For me with all respect Nadia fame and points were some kind of political gesture against the Soviet and to polish Chaushesco ego ... She was good definitely overall in 76 especially but not enough to be so so noisy around her. Off course that could be seen nowadays when the younger could observe and make their own conclusions without being manipulated.

No tengo la menor duda. Ella poseía un talento ignato. Rutinas mucho más complejas para su época, y era mas expresiva, mucho más elasticidad en su movimiento que Nadia. MUKHINA era "una poesía en movimiento"

You can't move like a gymnast in Toronto or you will be handcuffed , injured by security guards so best to handcuff or hands etc
Gymnasts have to be thin now to fit into small spaces for their post Olympic jobs
