Found your channel dude and really enjoy you and your LotR content. Love the way you present info. I just rolled up a new toon on Angmar. Haven’t played in years. Thanks for all your advice and tips. Subbed to your channel as well.
I think everyone need to craft at least once all the way to the top tiers… Crafting adds so much to the experience of the game. Back in the day, I picked up so many random quests and loot because I was off hunting nodes 😂
When it was professions with 3 jobs, one was always orphaned. Explorer = Forester allowed tanning hides; Tailor allowed use of hides. Prospector was orphaned because it allowed mining only.
The only issue with the way they made crafting more flexible are the tools that are no longer flexible. Metalsmiths can make tools but their recipes are tailored more to the old crafting synergies like Yeoman so if you do try to put together a set of crafting vocations you like, you might need to carry multiple tools to cover all of the bases. Either that or buy from the shop that universal tool kit.
Well said master Ren but I honestly think that when Moria comes we ll have the l8est version of legendary weapons and class items since we already have traceries droping! the crafting will follow the pattern of live servers! Armors will start to have bartered set items aquired from instance coins! Weapons will grow along with characters! as a day1 player also I would advise having 3-4 toons with all professions and a main with gathering professions so one can be self efficient! Prospector will be the king of gold and food-potions-scrolls-hope tokens will be the best selling!
@@Renfail also another hidden currency is Exp tomes and Tomes of defence! Since gold cap is 10k only! On live servers Umbar items sell for 30k or more, so these tomes act as currency to be sold again for liquid gold! By the way greetings from Greece!
Crafting is always an optional stuff in any MMO, I don't know of a single MMO where you "have" to do it. But in LOTRO I think the most interesting are the hobbies, ala cooking, fishing and birding. Those are very interesting and add a lot of flavor to the game .
Didn't professions change so you can select any 3 rather than a predefined "job". With that in mind, which professions would you suggest for A) Guardian and B) Hunter?
Those "jobs" were called Vocations and they have been removed from the game. Pick any three you want. Guardian should take prospector, armorsmith and weaponsmith. You could replace weaponsmith with Jewelcrafting if you want. Hunter should take Forester, Woodworker and Tailor.
My question about crafting is are there recipes that you are able to make with crafting where the items bind when you acquire them whereas if you do not have that craft, you will never be able to have those items? So I’m thinking in the sense of an armor or a weapon able to craft certain armor or weapons that are only able to be used. If you happen to be in armor Smith or a weapons that crafted them specifically. So long as you know somebody who has one of those professions and is willing to craft it for you are you pretty much able to get whatever you wanna get anyways?
My OCD is going crazy. Please fix the UI and organize your skill bars. The quest log is over lapping the mini map and isn't on the edge of the screen. Love your content though.
Crafting is always worth it, legendary or not. One, it's at least worth it to get the resources and put them out on the auction house. You are already questing, so why not take a couple of seconds and go ahead and prospect, gather, or get those scholar resources. Secondly, the stuff you make will be better than the gear that comes from the quest rewards. Is it overkill? Sometimes, but keep in mind those wraiths that spawn are pretty strong and not many classes are good at soloing them. So it comes down to what class you are playing. Lastly, some crafting professions give you a nice break from all of the questing, deaths, and battling. Farming and cooking are so relaxing and fun and the food you make really really helps. That and the beer and the pipe weed, it's so much fun.
@@Renfail Wow and indeed this morning its truly there. What a strange thing. Thank you for the reply. Now if I could actually find some resources (namely wood), that would be great. Somehow its very rare to find anything to collect at the high elf starting place. Otherwise I had a blast with my minstrel last night!
Can i play this game if i dony like questing? Can i go just main quest and grind to lvl up or something dungeons etc to get to end game? not doing this all quests kill this gather that..? i hate it
How is your UI so big? Are you playing on lower resolution? I just started the game recently, and the UI is just so tiny. I already found the JRR skins collection, but the skins are just as small as the normal UI. My biggest problem are the bags and some minor text windows, as not all of them scale with the scaling option, and I know there's gotta be a "large" skin pack around somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Help much appreciated!

100% legit.
Timely video. I keep asking this question. Seems like the answers vary wildly. Thanks for the video!
Very welcome!

Yep!

You have a all-craft tools, you can buy with lotro points. I used share it within my alts.

Gonna be epic!

Wraiths only spawn on legendary servers though.
its worth it if you wanna make some big cash at auction ;)
Indeed
I craft levelling on the live servers. The one time I tried to do it at end game it was was too much to try and do.
Fantastic video
okies
The Profession Slot Unlock is completely missing from the store. I am a VIP and playing on Mordor.
It can take a few clicks to show up

That's the backbone of MMOs, so if you don't like it elsewhere, you aren't going to like it here
@@Renfail Ok im trying to play, on legendary server max lvl is 50 now? When next increased lvl cap they add?
