I think an important key is also to shoot a few times of the dribbling before doing the Hesitation. Because you can't fool a player by doing the same move over and over again. But when u shoot for example 2 times and than use the Hesi, the Hesi will be much deadlier(At least it works for me). (Sorry for my bad english i'm german xD)

Kid Kapri choppy steps if your coming off a fast break ( raise your hips with the ball). If you are a one motion shooter than it should come naturally

The technical points brought up are so tight, unreal, that no one else explained it as well, 1) shoulders/hips from lower position to high, 2) eyes on the basket, 3) let the ball rise up not to overhand carry. Hats off great explanation. One point I would add is a hesi is not just for a shot, it should be used to freeze your opponent's reaction to any choice of your actions, shot, pass, drive, change in direction.

Yea my hesi/shot fake is usually quicker when I actually think about shooting. However it's not believable because I predetermine my move

Good tips! You're basically selling the defender on the notion that you're shooting. Also, foot positioning is important!

Coach. I'm Left Handed , 5'8 115 Lbs. iHave A Great Inside & Midrange Game , But iGet Vulnerable. I'm Not Very Strong So Sometimes When iDo Pull Up A 3 , Either My Hands Cross Or There's Something Awkward About The Shot , My Form Is Pretty Consistent But it Seems Like When I'm At The 3 iHave To Use A Different Form. My Form Isn't Strong Enough For Me To Launch It With A Good Arc When iDo Shoot It It's A Low Arch Usually Straight But Short. Any Tips Anything iFind Is For Right Handedness
Xavier Massa dude honestly just be like derozan, keep your shot inside the arc. but if you really want to shoot threes, make sure you lift a bit, but also do form shooting, alot of it and keep moving out until your natural form feels comfortable at the 3pt line
