    Offensive distance is a key since the ball has to be kept to the side and away from the defender. When the drive begins you have to really surprise them or they're going to have a shot at shifting to get in front. It tends to work because the defender just doesn't know you're getting ready to zoom past.

  • @zimbu_
    @zimbu_ 6 років тому

    The arm swing mentioned at 6:54 onwards was originally mostly about hitting the wrists of your defender back when hand checking was allowed. It's mostly forgotten because the primary function no longer exists. It can still help with propelling forward, but it can also hurt your balance and get you leaning too far forward if it doesn't come naturally to you. Not worth trying to force yourself to do it unless you really want to look like late 80's MJ in my opinion.

    You guys know the Russell Westbrook and Dennis smith jr dunk right where they go left and dunk with their right like a poster dunk I suggest practice that move not the dunk to initiate contact in game usually a foul either you get a nice highlight by hitting the guy in air and throwing the ball at the ball like space jam it actually works with a 2 free throws or an And1 trust me I'm 5 foot 8 or 9 it works use the Isiah Thomas hesitation to get by Isiah uses his right hand to hesitate so you guys use your left for the same effect

    I have a question: i think that i'm a intermediate of tight ball handler, deceptive ball handler, and deliberate ball handler, and i know that these are stereotypes, but i can use any type of moves for my games like the hang hesitation? because in the video of types of ball handlers the hesitation is more used for the tall players but i small and in my team i think that i'm a guard. and good video i love it👍

    Guys I want to ask you a question I'm 6.0 feet tall and 17 years old and I love this game and I hope that I could be taller because I love playing in the post and this is my question
    Should I forget about playing in the post and having a good fadeway and just focus on ball handling and vision because of my height and my role as a point guard??
    Last thing I damn love this channel and you deserve more subscribers
