- Is my iPhone 5 supported? Here’s a list of models which can be downgraded to iOS 6:
iPhone 5,1 GSM (A1248), iOS 7.0.X - iOS 7.1.X
iPhone 5,2 Global (A1429), iOS 7.0.X - iOS 7.1.X

Note: Your iPhone 5 must be running iOS 7 in order for this to work. A Mac running 10.13 (macOS High Sierra or higher must be used, though I have not tested it on newer Mac versions yet - feel free to test and report your results in the comment section below).

iOS 6 is still the best iOS for me. It was Apple's peak of graphic interface, stability and reliability
Yup iOS 7 is ugly and what’s worse is iOS 17 is almost identical looking besides a few minor ui tweaks.

I have a question: Is it possible to downgrade an iPhone 5 running iOS 10.3.4 or iOS 8.4.1 to iOS 7.0.2 and/or do this by using the same method that you did on Legacy iOS Kit? If you have to use a different method to do this, please let me know or make a video on it.

@@VXkiller85 I didn’t downgrade them, I just bought them like that haha. It’s not too hard to find them on eBay. I don’t think I want to sell mine though, the lock buttons are broken on them

That's not downgrading. You can only downgrade iphone 5 to ios 8.4.1, which isn't that bad actually, although much worse than 6.1.4.@@justin6581

I bought a bundle of 25 iPhone 5’s. Sadly no iOS 6, however 2x iOS 7‘s.
I bought a lot of 24 iPhone 5c’s, and 2 unrelated untested iPhone 5’s. 8 of the 5c’s worked (one needed a new battery, I harvested it from another in the lot) and were iCloud unlocked, obviously none on iOS 6, none on iOS 7, one on iOS 8 and two on iOS 9. The two iPhone 5’s I bought only knowing they were iCloud unlocked, one was a 8.1.3 that worked immediately (unrelated, both the iPhone 5c on 8 and this iPhone 5 have baseband issues likely due to the sidegrade). The other is on 9.3.1, had a liquid damaged screen, and I have dubbed it “the miracle motherboard” because of the sheer abuse it got in the past… and the fact that I accidentally shorted a resistor nearby the CPU while the phone was turned on. Somehow that iPhone 5 still works.

Only iOS 7 for now… I’ll make an updated tutorial for that eventually
its pretty hard to do it on windows, i installed linux on a flash drive and booted off that and did it there instead

I think that the lowest you can go on the 5s is 10.3.3.

@@ahmedaraf8188 Linux is very easy to dual boot you just need to install it like normal(I would recommend zorinOS bcos it has the option to dual boot built into the os) and then do the downgrade and after that switch back to windows

You can't downgrade iPhone 6 since has Apple A8 cpu, which is a 64 bit cpu...
This tutorial only works with 32 bit cpu iPhones (5 and earlier)

You can restore back to 7 when you are on ios 6 since you saved the blobs, plenty of tutorials out there on how to fully untethered restore with blobs.

Yes it will. Any version of ios 7 will work for this downgrade, as far as i'm aware.

Yes, although it’s tricky. The script can do it but it fails for me when I try it. As long as your blobs are saved though, you can go back
