I’m Yasmyn Switzer, mom of three! I am so glad Logan is still so present and available for the small things like back to school shopping. Whatever happened between you two, the fact that you guys worked it out for your kids is so awesome, I know many adults way older than y’all that couldn’t do it!

This is such a perfect decision. I did this (as a single Mum) with my beautiful Daughter.. and she's now 23 and has the most extraordinary relationship with her awesome Grandparents. It was also so good for them. Family is everything. And this is such a great decision. I'm so proud of you. Great to see you and Logan shopping for Laela's school supplies. It was so nice to see his sweet face. And to see you both so comfortable with one another for the sake of your children. I sense that you will actually be very close friends with time 🥰
Yes sis! Women supporting women is what we actually need! Get and and give all the support! My daughter, my mum and me share a house, a garden and all our responsibilities. This is great!

Her grandmother is elderly. They should be supporting HER, not the other way around.
@@ShockResistorshe does support her grandmother and she already helps with her younger sisters who are in the grandmother's custody so it's a win for all of them.
MelCarter I lost both of my parents in the last few years so like yourself I have no family. I am lucky that my best friend of 30 years (we met when we were 10 at school) family has adopted me.

Someone gave me such good advice at one point in my life: never mix finances with friends or family. Totally understand why you would want to rent to friends, just be sure the friends are completely trustworthy. Lots of change for you but it sounds like you have your head wrapped around things pretty well and I'm so happy that you'll have more support and will be able to spend more time with your grandmother and your sisters. Support is what is most important as you build a new life for yourself and your girls. Go get 'em!
I would say pay the extra to have your yard cleaned up by a landscaping company. Nothing is worse then taking such a responsibility and giving that too a few friends… you would still be liable to pay when that aren’t able too and you would need to pay to fix things and I’m sure they wouldn’t want to keep up with the yard either so you’ll be more lenient when it comes to honestly everything because they are your friends. I would definitely recommend renting to a family someone who really would need and cherish your lovely home and table care of all the things that would be their responsibility, let alone the money difference you will forsure be making more money renting the whole house and you won’t be responsible for paying the rent if they fall short .
You pay more with a property manager but they handle all the issues. Plumbers etc. Friends can be unreliable, too.
Do you live near a hospital? If so maybe look into renting to traveling nurses. My aunt and uncle rent out their furnished rental that way and it’s awesome! They’ve never had any problems with tenants. It’s basically like air bnb but people say 3-6+ months at a time.
Definitely don’t rent to family or friends on your own….. will definitely be more stressful and not fun at all. Speaking from experience 😅
These comments do not pass the vibe check. I never leave comments on videos but I feel like it has to be said. I did not live with my grandparents growing up but they stayed with us a lot and it had such a positive impact on me. It sounds like this move is also super helpful for your grandma as you will be helping out with your sisters. Regardless of your reasons, don’t let random people on the internet shame you about decisions you’re making for your family. Your girls will remember the time they got to have a long sleepover with your grandma and sisters fondly when they’re older ❤
100% agree, even for her mental it’ll be a great idea nothing is better then being around family at a time like this her sisters would love having her move in ♥️
It’s a positive thing!! Idk why some commenters feel a need to be rude. Some of us have to live with family to save money even after we start a family and that’s okay. Better than wasting money on rent.
I'll only support her if she's not into disgusting ethnic music and twerking.
Be very wary about renting to friends unless you have them sign a real lease, you can even have a property manager create one for your friends. That way if anything happens you have clearly designated that they are a tenant and don’t have rights to the property past a certain point of time. Even the best of friends can have misunderstandings so be sure to protect yourself and your property

Yasmyn, the people saying don't rent to friends are probably right. Easier to rent to a family with good credit. You could have a solid storage shed on your property to have free storage for all your stuff without bothering your tenants. Property managers just absorb rent money. Put details on keeping the outdoor areas into the rental contract.

My car looks just like yours except I have only one child 😬 Just watched the rest but… was that Logan??? If so then I’m so happy that he went to go shopping with you both! That’s so refreshing to see. Also, I’d advise against renting rooms to friends. You should always keep your friends/family out of business situations when it comes to renting. Think about the potential cons and what could go wrong. I’m sure your friends are great people but… trust me. I’ve seen some crazy things happen. I think you guys should fix up the land and then potentially profit more off of renting it out through companies.

This is a great plan I agree, also it's way better for safety reasons for you and the girls to live with your grandma and sisters for a while either that or get a big guard dog I would say lol ,❤I hope this adjustment of moving is easy on you guys! Also I feel like renting to friends is better also because you would have access to your shed and attic

As a land lord i will tell you to never rent to family or friends. And to definstely use a rental company. It afforda you many more orotections than doing it on your own.

Girl this was my motivation to clean my car today, toddler cars are ROUGH. ALSO, I also (as a single mom) live with my daughter and my grandfather after my grandma passed away. It takes a village to raise little ones. I hope this time is healing for all of you

They aren’t bouncing around? Nothing wrong with moving in with your grandparents/family. Saves money and you get a livelier house.
She literally has lived in that house for a couple of years. Theyll be fine
@@potato1084over the span of Laela’s life they’ve moved at least 8 different times. I like Yasmyn a lot but that’s definitely bouncing around.
@@hihola4444 in the span of my eldests school career (7 in primary, 5 currently in post primary) shes moved 17 times, the location movings not what makes it stable, its the people in it staying consistant
