    The awesome thing about the Weber is that there is just a ton of support for them. We all run our sammis on them and have easy starting, smooth running rigs. We keep an extra accelerator pump on hand, we've seen them fail, they most likely where not designed to withstand to much ethanol is our thoughts.

      I have the hardest time getting mine not to idle like crazy, I am awful at tuning things. so I have a brand new one in a box that came with my samurai and ended up getting a 3k to try.

      If it's iding up off the idle screw and your cable has slack you may need to add a light return spring on the cam. I had to do that to mine, it was iding up on down hills running way to fast. Tiny spring did the trick, been awesome after that.

    Question.. at 2:07 the 4 studs.. next to the top right stud.. On the intake are 2 vacuum connections.. A big one and small one... Where do you connect the small one?

      Big one is your PCV valve. Little one gets a vacuum cap. You can cap off the PCV or tie it in to valve cover breather with a T.

    What about flooding issues in the mountain hills.

      There are several write ups on hill climb modifications for them. The biggest fix for that is inside the carb just above the main jets is 2 holes. Those go to brass fittings in the throat of the carb. Plugging those holes should prevent it as long as the carb has the proper jets for the engine.

      @@zuksofhazard i got the toy 3k and kit from national. It was ok it set bit. And now leaking everywhere probably not 50 miles on it since bought.

      Only buy the 3k kit from certified machine. Gary checks all the carbs before they get sent out. 3k’s aren’t bad but they won’t be putting much of a smile on your face compared to the CV or Weber. They lack power and throttle response by comparison isn’t that good. It’s just a good cheap option to go with.

    Do you have a list of what jets you run for the stock 1.3 stock engine? Soooo many different combinations... Thanks!

      @zuksofhazard  5 місяців тому

      Each engine is different. Try 45 idles and 125 mains then go from there
