i have seen many of this mans videos, i missed this somehow ?
i have watched it twice and it so well put together.
well done .
this is exactly what it says on the tin
and it actually draws you to the place. you kinda get the feeling that your with him.
10/10🤞
Totally agree, there are probably more of Andys early videos that I have missed , but this one is superb, Dungeness is now on my bucket list 😀
I have to admit that Your way of telling us all about your surroundings would put many a tv documentary to shame, Andy. I could quite happily sit here watching and listening to your mini adventures for hours. Your photography is brilliant and packed with so much that's of tremendous interest. I've never been to Dungeness, but wish now that I have. Thanks for sharing such an enjoyable video. Take care...
Thank you very much John.. thats high praise :) great to hear that you and others have enjoyed this one, I was going to retreat to the woods for the winter but ill have to try and do some more of this location stuff too.

Great fish and chip shop not far away so no danger of starving there lol.
haha.. good call, next time ;)
Don't forget the RH&D railway to get you to safety quickly. Ha Ha
ya not wrong there Ray.
It's not a fish and chip shop, it's just a mirage. You're too dehydrated and the light is playing tricks in the heat haze.
The Pilot inn. HUGE portions, or they used to be.
We have Jiffy Pop over here in the states. To cook it over a fire you have to constantly move the pan over the heat or you will burn it. Pop it until the foil turns as big as a ball and has a uniform size all the way around. Love your videos, keep up the good work.
Britain has a Desert???? My mind is officially blown.
Same!
It’s a massive beach lol
It’s not rly a desert tho
He pretty much means it’s a wasteland
Astolfo okay a lot of information here mate I appreciate the time u put into this but I meant it’s basically a wasteland coz of all the junk and all that
Pimm's and Dungeness, classic stuff ;-) I love the wildness of the area, something very 'other' about it... Somewhere I've always fancied living, thanks for posting, took me back a couple of decades
Another great idea. Been fishing there with my brothers. Camped overnight on the beach in a large tent with a rug on the floor lol.
I feel like I repeat the same comment week after week but you give me no choice :D Beautiful camera work once again and lots of interesting historical information. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week.
Thank you very much :) never get tired of hearing it haha, glad you enjoyed it
I can really sense the passing of time in this video. All the people that came and went down through the ages.
one of my favourite places.. so interesting in that area, thanks Simon
this is amazing episode, thank you for all the effort and skill set - this was awesome
Brilliant as always Andy! Another interesting adventure, thanks for sharing!
Love your old stuff mate. Excellent content still after all these years
Thank you for your hard work, and great footage!!! It's a pleasure to see when you have videos
Thanks very much indeed, glad to hear that you enjoyed the video :)
This is a fantastic video. I loved the photography and the history of the sound mirrors. Thank you.
Wasted many hours there back in my army days having to run around and around the artest Derek Jarman would make us tea back in the long distance of the past
nice :) glad to take you down memory lane, thanks for watching
Ah, Derek, a very nice fella.
Cool place and quite unique too thanks for sharing bro!😜✌️
Yep, you have to shake and shuffle the Jiffy Pop to keep it from burning. Interesting place.
The photography was stunning TYVM
Dungeness is such a fabulous place, its like the edge of the world
Cant beat spam and egg barms with daddies brown sauce ......a trio of pure joy andy
Come to Las Vegas Nevada! Will show you around the desert. You will love it! Thank you for this video. I have missed seeing you. Hope you are having a terrific summer and I know you are looking forward to autumn. Loved you work.
Hey.. Thanks.. I really with I could just pop over lol Id love it.. one day ill get to the states again.
Gotta shake and swirl that Jiffy Pop while its on the heat to keep kernels from scorching, and get fuller pop. Fun video!
Hi Laura.. I did give it a lot of shaking (even watched a youtube video before lol) practice I guess haha, thanks for watching :)
Kent Survival , I grew up with that stuff in the 70s, then forgot about it for decades. Rediscovered it in a little grocery in far northern Minnesota on the North Country trail. Not very good tasting popcorn, but everything seems a little better when enjoyed in the wilderness.
D B it’s all in the wrist! ;)
Yeah the secret is you have to keep it moving, you let it sit and things start to scorch. I learned on a true classic of a cast iron popper my grandparents had and the jiffy pop when we were out camping. Never ate the stuff (I don't like popcorn) I was just the most energetic grandchild.
Been binge watching your videos since I happened across your channel a few days ago & I have to say you have such a calming influence on me!
It’s a wonderful character trait you have imo!
Thank you for helping me so much without even knowing it :)
As someone who stayed in the Western Sahara in a house with no roof for 6 months feel qualified to comment. Also went to Romney marshes as a child (also used to play in a derelict Fort Amhurst at Chatham). The music was so atmospheric which complemented your calm and knowledgeable delivery. Loved your vid.
Thank you Tina :)
Awesome video Andy! Loved the footage of a most interesting area with some interesting history. The spam & eggs looked good too! Thanks brother!
Thanks buddy, amazing whats around us when we take the time to look :)
4:43 £63?!
you ain't even getting the whole skull!
Nothing like some radioactive black berries! ;D great video. Those sound mirrors look pretty awesome
haha.. glow in the dark ones, thanks for watching Luke
My favourite cod and bass fishing venue of all time and the most famous surf casting venue in Britain probably Europe . Legends were made here but those days are gone . Love the place personally as watching this video brings back great memories of people no longer with us . No longer living in the UK so thanks for the upload . Memories you don't realise how important they are until you reach a certain ripeness .
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it mate :) and have a personal connection. Keep meaning to give fishing a go.. have some bits but not got around to it yet.
best nights fishing ever sat out the storm of 86 during the night rods hit the water just after 4am and total catch between two of us 124lb of cod biggest being just over 27lb directly behind the power station
Really enjoyed that. Bit of history, scenery and camping all in one. Great job.
Thank you Russ :) Love looking for interesting locations
Oglebay Zoo in Wheeling, West Virginia has a smaller train transport. US has alot of small trains for pedestrians to hop on and get to point to point, with cars you can ride in and smaller engines.
And it is obvious why the minks maintained all the skeletons, they are the remains of those who got lost in the desert and died of dehydration.
Thanks for watching Louie, I googled that.. interesting little train.. this is just the smallest operating local train (as in a real route) as far as im aware :)
Love Dungeness. Such a unique atmosphere. Was there a few weeks back.
Another great vid Andy. Always like the history lessons that you bring to a lot of your trips. That wagon of yours is awesome.
Thanks Paul.. I seem to have gone very History focused lately haha, history on the trips and bushcraft for the woods I guess :p
Kent, I Marvell at how well this was done. Fascinating as well! Man, You are one Excellent Creator!!
Thank you very much indeed sir :D glad that you enjoyed it
Another amazing video. I was hooked from start to end and the music was brilliant too. Thank you xxx
Thank you Jennifer, glad that you enjoyed it :)
Absolutely! One of the best videos thus far. I consider my self a fan of them all. But! Andy! Nice nice work. Impressed is the only word that comes to mind. Really enjoyed my watch of it.
Hey Andy your always interesting good work 👍🏻🇬🇧
Perfect music for this video! Great job, Andy
I thoroughly enjoyed this program. You showed us a small part of where you live, your country. I love history and stories of the past. Thank you
Thank you :)
Quite apart from the excellent videography and editing, I really must commend you on the audio; I've filmed at Dungeness before and it's always blowing a gale so well done on some clean sound! Really enjoyed that.
Thank you very much :) yes.. audio, its the bane of outdoors filming, I have a 'dead cat' on my mic but it still catches the wind for some shots
Lawrence of Arabia
..
Great video, Andy. I'm liking how you incorporate British history into your outings, very interesting. Thanks for sharing, take care, buddy.
Thanks mate.. yeah, been on a history streak lately, just filmed another as well haha
Thanks man, well edited and your very easy to watch and learn from... Gonna watch your other videos now...
I really enjoyed this video.The best.Eggs & spam looked good too.Beautiful church.Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Jeretta, happy to hear that you enjoyed it :)
Very informative. Thanks 👍
Thanks for another remarkable video in a delightful place. That area spans a 1000 years of history and more. I always learn such interesting stuff from you...and a spam and egg sandwich is great. Great work! Your videos are just better and better.
Thanks so much Carl :) happy to hear that you're enjoying this style of video.. they're fun to make... log live Spam haha
Excellent, absorbing video. I watch a lot of these wild camp videos and am intrigued at the different camp set ups and various equipment / food and drink combinations that are demonstrated. Very rarely are the videos good enough to actually 'draw me in,' to the camp set-up and location. Fortunately for me, the quality filming, local area information descriptions and, your easy going narrative hit the spot for me. Many thanks for a satisfyingly relaxed video. Good Luck my friend.
Thank you very much indeed Dave, a much appreciated comment :) ATB - Andy
Love it Andy, you're one of our favourite youtubers.
Thank you guys, thats much appreciated :) hoping to get one more beach camp in before the weather turns haha
My favourite place love it down there
Really like your video's great stuff
Excellent quality video. Love the combination of history and camp knowledge. Kent is full of archaeology sites. I worked on one at the end of Manston airdrome back in 77. Also fished for cod at dungeness in the winter. Brilliant place!
Hi Andre, thank you :) that must have been interesting.. id give it a go if they let me haha
Another great video Andy. Love what you're about. Look forward to the next one!
Thanks Ralph, happy to hear you enjoyed it buddy
cozy video, thank you.
What a cracking area you wouldn't think that you were in England very interesting place so rustic and good choice of music andy thanks for sharing atvb jimmy 😎😎
cheers Jimmy, yeah.. never been anywhere like Dungeness before, other worldly haha
Beautiful sir. I have to admit, that I was unaware of the fact, Britain had A desert. The church is beautiful !! That crypt gives A person A lot to think about, wow. That was A lot of interesting sights and places you filmed. The WW11 History intrigued me. My father, went through, England, Normandy, France, Czech, Poland, then Germany in WW11. How he made it back state side, we will never know, just glad he did. A beer or 2 , does wonders at he end of the day, agreed sir. Spam and eggs ,sounds like A winner to me. I am unfamiliar with Piams? Nothing like that drink sold locally here in the states. Maybe big cities? Jiffy Pop, lol, that brand I am familiar with, LOL. I never took one camping, but you sure gave me A great idea !! Addition of fresh berries, to your breakfast, beautiful friend. Great job at showing others , how to leave A clean campsite. Well done review and history lesson friend!! Well done indeed. Peace, John.
Thanks very much John :) Glad you enjoyed that one, its a great and odd place haha, I bet your dad had some tales to tell! go Pimms... its a very British drink indeed haha, they originally had versions made from different spirits but they just do a summer one (the most common) and a winter one thats served warm now :P
Thank you for translation on drink. I believe, I can cross reference your translation. Thank you friend ! Need me, please ask, John.
Love your videos mate really entertaining to watch. Keep up the good work
Creepy Church! I reckon a family of vampires fed off the villagers. You definitely find some interesting places! Great video again dude.
All the best.
Skye
Hiya mate.. its a great church isn't it, sadly they had 20 skulls stolen the week before, after hundreds of years... sad. cheers for watching, surprised you didn't see any skulls on Mordor ;)
@@KentSurvival I'm planning to return the sculls after my Halloween special video 👻
Super eerie place.
Very nice production, Andy. Loved the opening.
Awesome video. Buddy 👍 , & full of local & interesting facts aswell ☺☺
Thanks Andy, love this place :)
Loved it mate what a great vid very well done.
Thank you very much
The skeletons were not dug up, they were found on the ground after not managing the journey across the huge desert expanse without dying of thirst
WOW. Great video...!
Great video very down to earth guy love it
Thank you very much Rick :)
really enjoyed this video - thanks
Very interesting
Excellent vid , enjoyed . thanks .
Thank you very much :)
Your windscreen also reflects the fire light back at you when you're not cooking on the stove. Nice setup and location!!
Hi Kaylynn, yeah.. it reflected a lot of light actually.. made it feel more like a camp fire :) Thank you for watching as always
Wicked video!💀💀💀
Awesome music!🎶
Thanks for sharing it!
Glad you enjoyed Cherie.. thank you for watching :)
That was fascinating Andy. I’m going for a little day hike around there in a couple of weeks, but after seeing this I might have an overnight camp as well. Love your channel mate! 👍😉
Just found this one. Brilliant.

How very interesting, Andy! Love this video. Your music choices were fun...I half-expected you to pop up in a white flowing turban or a pith helmet! 🤣😊
Great area. Thanks so much for your always thoughtful way of telling us the history of the places you visit.
I'm watching this a second time now because it's that good. Thanks, Andy.
Thank you very much indeed :)

Wow, the desert is so different then what I'm used to ....it kinda looks naked ....lol so flat ...love the candle that is so cool...beautiful place ...great video thanks :)
Great little movie. This really takes me back to camping as it was when I was a kid. I feel inspired to get out my kit and go off for a few days.
Thank you.. get back out there buddy :)
Lovely location there, and awesome video as always!
Thanks Andy, another very enjoyable informative video.
Thank you Danny, glad you enjoyed it bud
Wow, great landscape and tour. Really cool.
Thanks for watching Frank :)
Wow church was amazing X Great Camp and so much history in this area. Fascinating places around there thanks for sharing X Take Care and Keep Safe X
Thanks Jennifer, I've wanted to visit that church for years and only just go around to it, great place.
I always enjoy your camping videos Andy.
Thanks very much, always appreciated buddy :)
Great video, I'm hoping to get down there this summer. It kinda reminds me of the eastern side of the Isle of Sheppey, where I grew up, only on a more industrial scale, and even more bleak. Even the name 'Dungeness' sounds bleak 😆
I went to that church before couldn’t think what church it was lol thanks for the great video folk :)
cheers matey, every time ive been to the church it was closed and I could see them skulls through the window calling me haha, finally go it... hope you enjoyed the show!?
Great vid I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Timmy :)
Love Dungeness, has an otherworldly feel about it. Camped out there (in the VW) some years back. Top of the boardwalk actually. Great vid Andy.
doesn't it just... nowhere else like it haha, saw some campers parked in a couple of great spots while I was there. cheers for watching Alan
Just saw this. I've been watching for a while now and HOLY $h!!...You have hair! Sorry had HAIR! Even back then, you are still entertaining and fun to watch.
Top watching.... it's encouraged me to get back out at 44....
Thank you, happy to hear that :) good luck and have fun
Been binge watching your videos! New subscriber! Awesome Stuff Great Work 👍👍👍
Really enjoyed that bud. Shown stuff I didn't know. Win win for me, thumbs up and good vibes to you. Thank you
Thank you :) glad you enjoyed
Desert camping is quite peaceful. I live in California and go out to the desert to camp during the winter sometimes. Gets to about 30-40° Fahrenheit and its just beautiful especially the sunsets
Awesome place, great little pub at the end too, if I remember correctly it's got hundreds of beer mats all around the walls
That’s a cool video,I’ll have another look at the weekend when I have more time and make a few notes .
Thank you Doug, a great place to visit, especially for photography
Great vid. Interesting historical facts. Thanks. Graham(Surrey)
Loving the "still lifes "-reminds me of the dust-bowl days over here in the states (Great video)
Thanks Jeff.. maybe ive watched too much Ken Burns recently ;)
