I picked up the Gil Scott Heron album a few years back. His lyrics were always interesting. Badfinger were such a great band. Extremely talented all around. You grabbed some definite rock essentials Steve. The best to you and more all year long~

Cheers Steve. Pretty good haul there, I had gentle giant vertigo swirl from an Oxfam underpriced and flogged it but tried again and will get a reissue 😉 Fleetwood Mac I like my OG scratched but more than playable 'then play on' it'll do me. Have made do with Scott Walker/Brothers etc best of up to now I know the 1-4 solos and latter day ones are well respected. Cheers.

Hi Steve, I haven't seen you around much this year. Now that I see you show that Gentle Giant album I know why. Are you still trying to get into it? I've had Three Friends for years on CD but have never really cracked it. I recently discovered a hidden trove of records inside a used book shop close to my village. I'm careful not to tell anyone about it because there are some amazing records there, not too badly priced. That Wreckless Eric album is amongst the records available there for example. I'm thinking I should pick it up next time I go back. Nice Fanny albums. You managed to show them without any 'faux pas'. Well done. Talking of Slade, I finally got myself a copy of Slade Alive! this year from Discogs. It's been on my want list for ages but i felt sure it would pop up in the wild eventually, but it never did. I've been enjoying it's rawness immensely. Hope you are keeping well Steve. Cheers

Mothers Pride....does that bread still exist ??? It's certainly a name from the past.
I hear Badfinger on a regular basis on the golden oldie radio station I have on in the lorry.
All the best for the new year 👍👍👍

Hi Nick, I don’t think it does anymore. Certainly a staple during the 70s. Have a great new year yourself.

Happy new year Steve - I picked up the reissue of Fanny Hill not too long ago along with Charity Ball. Missing Mother's Pride and their debut thus far but a band I was aware of and intrigued by through finding a copy of Rock & Roll Survivors in a charity shop a few years back. Many years ago I came across a Scott Walker LP at a charity shop too, can't remember which album, I could have had it for pennies but honestly had not heard of him at that point so I was fumbling around trying to look him up on my phone and not finding much in those pre-Discogs days...another digger swiftly moved in and talked me into letting him have it, still wince at that blunder but you live and you learn...still need the Gil Scott-Heron, I have some of the Fleetwood Mac's but I'm quite spotty on their early discography, never seen any of the first few blues based albums here. No Dice is my only one by Badfinger. I did not do a great deal of digging in the wild this year, was a bit difficult to get time to go out and do it so I focused more on the occasional purchase online. I also have been grappling with questions of where I am going with this music collecting thing - a consequence of hitting the dreaded middle age I suppose. Cheers!
