Awesome job, Duchess!!! Fortunately mine was just the fuse! Had me worried there for a bit! Last spring we flooded the interior floor under the drivers seat. It shorted out most of the electrical system, and cost over ONE THOUSAND dollars to fix it! And, I'm talking a 17 year old car. My mechanic SHOULD'VE told me first before he repaired it. I would've said forget it! BUT, NONETHELESS, I LOVE MY SAAB! V-6 TURBO. That car STILL ROCKS!!!

Oh no... Hate to tell you 6 years later that the tool you needed was right in front of you the whole time. In the spare tire area, Saab provides a screw driver handle with 3 torx bits and a flat head. If you still have this car, or another saab, that screw driver is good for taking apart damn near the whole car. The entire interior at least... glove box, dash, console, etc. and definitely those screws you pointed out!

20+ years experience auto tech responding here. Speaking from numerous experiences of having to repair a DIY wiring "repair" and then actually fixing the original problem, you did a nice job. I got a chuckle at the beginning when you said it was "SAAB's ONE fatal flaw". I wish SAABs only had ONE fatal flaw. If you continue working on this car, you will soon be educated... you have much to learn grasshopper. Again, kudos to you, I am going to watch your other SAAB adventures.

Thanks for the compliment! Yes, I am learning a lot about the many Saab flaws. So far relatively manageable....fingers crossed.
