My hearing issues began almost 20 years ago when I contracted tinnitus. My hearing loss began over the last decade or so. More in my right ear than left. I find myself turning my left ear to hear better and lately needing to cup my hand to help. Interestingly, if a tone like a tea pot whistle matches the tone of the ringing in my ears matches I can't hear it at all. I'm sure I would benefit from hearing aids, but I have no plan to start anytime soon. Am more annoyed by the tinnitus than the hearing loss. Though I'm adapting to both fairly well.
Getting the ticket early was a great idea. I'm similar as well because it feels like it's not confirmed until I have a ticket in my hand. In regards to the pendrive, quite a lot of businesses prefer not inserting customers pendrive in fear of viruses or malware.
I suggest from Dumai, try returning to Malaysia from pulau karimun( tanjung balai) in Sumatra to kukup i 1:35 n johore. And make kukup your new base. It's close to Singapore and johore Baru can be your new city.
I'm looking forward to this series, Doug. Your videos of your last trip to Indonesia were very enjoyable.
... And a new adventure begins 🤘🏼
Great watching the ride and interactions with the ticket lady. Looking forward to seeing the boat trip 😀
Have a wonderful 'adventures-filled' stay in Sumatra, Doug.
I would never accept a flash drive from anyone, especially if running a business. But looks like it worked out anyway. Safe travels!
