Informative and hilarious! I love your presentation style!
🎯
This fact is exactly why I eagerly await your drops.
Okay, that, and the info. Info is good.
The fact that any scientist ever believed that fat cells didn't die is just wild to me. It's in the same category as the idea that brain cells, once dead, are completely irreplaceable.
Like, nobody stopped to think for even a few minutes that this would mean those cells have an impossibly long lifespan? Hell, I remember my mom telling me about the whole brain cell thing when I was like 12 and thinking "No, there's no way that's right. No way those cells just live for like 80 years."
It's not that crazy. There are certain types of cells, specifically neurons and heart-muscle-cells, that overwhelmingly remains the same cells until you die. Yes neurons can regenerate, but after early childhood they still for the most part don't.
@@stoferb876 They just have a much longer lifespan than other cells. It's usually not so much "regenerating"--as in repairing damage--as it is replacing old cells at the ends of their lifecycles with new, younger cells. This happens with all of your cells, just at different rates. The reason brain cells don't really repair damage after childhood is just that they have such a long lifecycle. If you have two types of cell, one that lives for ~70 years and one that lives for ~1 month, and therefore are replaced at that same rate or close to it, which one do you think is gonna have an easier time replacing the cells lost when the tissue is injured?
Theoretically you could potentially recover from even a debilitating brain injury if you lived long enough and were neurologically healthy. It just may take a few hundred years.
Hearing "fact number one" as the first thing from a video is music to my ears. No intros needed!
I love your videos…you are so good at explaining stuff….us old people need to know…and yes, sometimes, I have to go back and listen again…lol. It is a lot to take in at one time. Thank you Johnny🦋
Great video, awesome content, love what you're doing!
Great to see you again. Your videos are informative and fun. 😊
I didn't know that fat cells have shorter lifespans in obese people. Thanks for all the good info.
Super informative and, at times, hilarious. Great work! 👍
I've been struggling hard with belly fat since I hit my 30s. It's weird, every other part of my body has very little fat. Legs, arms, chest even, but just my belly fat is ruthless!
I work out regularly at the gym, I don't eat much, and daily, I'm always running around getting exercise with my 4 year old daughter. But damn this stuff doesn't wanna go! So this was really interesting. Thanks!
@RP-uu7oq I got I figured out, actually. So I went to the Dr and got my testosterone checked. It came back absolutely tanked at the bottom, like waaay down. So I started TRT about 7 weeks ago, and I've already begun to lose weight and feel better. I'm only 33, but I'm a recovering addict with 4 (almost 5) years clean, and apparently, long-term opiate abuse can cause some bad side effects on testosterone.
So, on one hand, it sucks that I have low-T. On the other, at least I know the problem and have a solution.
@@Nyctonautglad to hear that you got a diagnosis to figure it out! 💕
@@finthefishsep20toma Hey thanks, yeah so far it's working great. I'm ~15lb down and counting. I'm gaining muscle at the same time so I'm pretty happy with the progress so far, just wanna keep it going!
Anyway, thanks for the kind words.
Most underrated channel on UA-cam with another banger
Outstanding work yet again! I look forward to whenever you post.
You are the best! I could listen to you and watch your graphics for hours! Kudos to you and your team!
Thank you for this video! I love all the information 😊

Why doesn't this guy have millions of subscribers yet?!?!
thank you! great video
Your videos never disappoint
My guy, you're gonna be huge. Keep up that energy.
Wonderful presentation!
Great content as usual
Great site! I've learned overtime that only an incredibly smart person can take a complicated subject and make it simple enough for everyone to understand.
Love it, gives me a "want to learn more" type of feeling!
i love your editing
Dude, why do I have to search for your channel to watch your videos! May the algorithm be with you my friend
So damn smart funny and creative. One of the best communicators in you tube.
You’re just too awesome 😎!
Great channel! I'm AMPK'd up to learn more.
Super smart
Yep. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
The visceral fat is a damn good reason why strongmen and women have big bellies; it's basically protection and cushioning.
I think I could watch you explain anything!
thank u sir
0:20 My dumbass: saturated and unsaturated
Me too 😂
Lmao.....'didn't I just tell you what I told you about not interrupting my videos'....lol
Great vid
this video is my every time with something always, I like it.
roomie interruptions are the best lol
No Lab Coat Required, are you monitoring my watch history? I legit just watched a video discussing brown and white fat 😂
Edit: I just watched it Tues, it discusses why kids don’t wanna wear coats vs old ppl who are freezing. But I’ve experienced the opposite so what gives 😂
😂 excellent synopsis!
Not sure where else to ask this but you wouldn't have a png of the black cartoon characters you have on the wall on your background do you? A link to where it is publicly if available unless it was commissioned. I really do like that picture.
This was good. Your videos make me laugh and learn. I literally laughed out loud at the end… Stay in school 😂… True… ❤️🔥🤗
Ok, ok, ok…now I understand my fat🎉 Thank you 😊
Johnny, are you watching every video of Dr. Eric Berg here on YT?
So you're saying I should eat so much that my fat cells burst and then start working out hard (relative to my work out limits)
nice
I have that shirt
Another classic
So does the amount of living fat cells a person has contribute to how easily they gain or lose weight?
I’ve watched this three times 😅
"oh you hostile. Wassuuupp?" "Oh, I'll *show* you." lolololololol
Okay, and I'm learning about fat cells, too? SUBSCRIBED
I feel like the thumbnail for this one is a bit unfortunate.
If fat cells die, does that mean it's possible to significantly lower the overall count? The usual dogma is that even with weightloss the fatcells just shrink but they're all waiting to swell up again if you fall off the wagon.
Every Doctor who fan 😲😬 1:30
🎯🥳
👌💕
Not our fat in gang hilarious!
👍🏼👍🏼
brown is actually an orange hew
'what are the two types of fat?'
Me: trans and saturated fats. duh
oh
There's also unsaturated, so. 😉
How many fewer people would have excess white fat if they were not bombarded by marketing while having high availability to fulfill craving?
Bodies are weird plants.
Hostile! 🤣
