@@des4719 While that may be true, the product life cycle of an iphone is a lot more than 1 year. Supply contracts for components for a mini 14 would have been long decided upon already. Not quite as simple as just deciding to do another one now based on 13 mini sales. Maybe enough to reconsider in the future, but will likely skip the 14. I'll do my part though, dont really need an upgrade but want the mini form factor, so i'll add to the demand 😂
Just upgraded my 12 mini to a 13 mini trying to cast my vote to keep it around. Don’t think I’ll upgrade until the next mini if ever again… Hopefully they release one every three years to keep us happy.
Bought a 13 mini 512gb less than a week ago, I'm very satisfied with the phone....tiny but really powerful and for my usage I never get it under 25% at the end of the day...I was skeptical the first days but I think the battery had to do a few cycles...totally in love with this phone, if you have the extra money buy it without a doubt over the 12 mini...extra battery and better wide sensor for just 50 bucks are a no brainer...
@@sidv4615 it depends from day to day but the average is around 3hrs and something..I usually recharge it at the end of the day with 35/40%… I had an intense day last week where I used Google maps for navigation for more than 2 hrs. Starting at 9 am and coming back home at midnight I had 8% battery with 5h15m of screen on time

Just ordered me a 13 Mini 256GB on Friday. Coming from an 11 Pro. I’m glad I decided to get a smaller size . Thanks for making such good videos man. Very informative!
I just got the mini a few days ago. I’m coming from the XS, so I was a little bit afraid of the mini’s size and if it was going to be hard to type on it or watch videos (I got it more for the price) but the phone isn’t really that small, it’s about the size of the iPhone 6 and I was surprised how easy it was to get right back into it. Typing is easy (if anything, easier because of the smaller phone) and it feels so great to hold a phone in one hand and not feel like a brick is weighing you down in your pocket. I really love it!
The production quality and aesthetics of your videos are really top-notch. Loved how the phones were positioned in creative ways and the subtle animation effects. Subscribed. :)
Excellent video reviewing and comparison. Having a 12 mini no point upgrade to 13 mini or 14 mini if comes up , buying an iPhones every year never been a wise choice, keep you iPhone until dies or change when 3+ years old
Loved my blue 12 mini 128gb. Now upgraded to the blue 13 mini 256gb and definitely appreciate the improved battery life and brighter screen. Haven’t really tested the camera since I switched yesterday
How have u liked the 13 vs the 12? I was thinking of getting the 12 min to save some money (never had a iPhone also) but I'm a bit scared about being a heavy user on my off days an the smaller battery that being said I really like the idea of a smaller phone.
@@BellaFrice I recommend u to buy the 13 rather than the 12. I know the 12 is way cheaper but come on it’s just like a $100 difference. Spend that $100 for a better camera and battery life and with that brand new A15 and the standard base comes with 128gb so that’s definitely worth $100

Nice job with the iPhone mini video lineup. I bought the 13 mini because in my carrier it was cheaper than the 12 mini with 128gb. Loving my device, been using for two weeks and the battery life is ok, lasting 6 hours of use and I only charge once a day.
@@saklee1777 6h of use =Screen on time + sceen off time. Add this time of use to the time it's on standby and this is the battery life, which is around 24h.
I would choose the white one and finally I found a review with both of them next to each other! Pity, 13 mini isn't that warm as 12 mini, which has a really nice tone of white.
I have both. 12 Mini is 128 GB, 13 Mini is 256GB. The battery life of the 12 was incredibly low. The 13 Mini has SOLVED that. Yes, you won't have as much battery from it as from a Pro line one, BUT if you are a social media, YT video consumer... you'll get a full day now. All of that while enjoying top-notch specs, but in that sweet form factor that your shirt pocket loves! The 13 Mini is a fantastic phone - with 256GB as I recommend for ANY model (iPhone or Android, never mind)
@@joanneazeez9938 There's a $150 Cdn. difference between the 13mini and 12mini. That's rather sizeable and would be difficult for me to justify spending the extra, unless the battery is really bad with the 12mini - which you're saying there isn't.
Actually you get 44 more minutes of battery with the 13. And for those of us that aren't children and have jobs... Well, the 12 gives you plenty of battery to last throughout the day.

I agree. In a whole day at what point are you on your phone so much that it can’t be set down on a wireless charger for 15min to even half an hour which would clearly make up the 44 min difference in battery life even if you do use a lot. If you even drive for 15min a day, there you go plug it in while in the car. As you said if battery life is your main concern with new phones your probably using it too much and should probably be on your phone less and not more and doing something else productive in your life like a job and life.
I have purchased a 12 mini as it was much cheaper in India with some online sale going on. I literally got 12 mini in half the price of 13 mini. So I don't mind a smaller battery or less storage. Coz any day I can start my iCloud and use magsafe charger to save a day. Very informative video though. Thanks for a right comparison.
@@FernandezJ. Yeah....m still using my iPhone 12 mini....still working really fine and the battery percentage is 97% right now....even after 5 months of daily usage
@@ileref I posted about it on Reddit and learned that I am a very weird person for specifically not liking 120hz but I just don’t like it. It’s really easy for me to see the difference and I just do not prefer it. It almost looks like the “soap opera effect” to me
The 14 is now out and there is no mini. I guess I need to go ahead and buy a 13 mini or two for when my 12 mini ***** the bed. I have an iPad if I really want to watch something of length. The mini could be a tad smaller and I would still love it. I had the original SE for years and loved every minute of it.
Just got the 13 mini about a week ago… and when I tell you I love it it’s truly the best… I consider myself a power user (mainly UA-cam and some social media) and it has been great obviously you won’t get the super crazy screen on times of the max but for what is packed inside the small form factor it’s definitely a 10/10
@@harryjones295 I’ve had it for 2 years it’s been my favorite phone I’ve ever had. But since I use it so much the battery is definitely starting to age…Apple has a free battery replacement program if you have apple care so I think I’m going to do that and it should make it feel brand new again .
For "apple price" the 13 mini is a no brainer. But retailers often have the 12 mini (64gb) for up to $150-200 less than 13 mini when, if 64gb is enough for you, it is the better value for many. And definitely better than the terrible SE 2022.
Hi, like your video. I lucked out and got the 13 Mini for $599 plus $180 for my SE2. Total price was $480.00 at Best Buy. Note, that $100 price break is gone 😟. As for battery life, I'm not a power user as I actually use it for communicating, I turn on Low Power after it’s fully charged and wind up with 60-70% when I go to bed! The A15 and battery are a major reason the Mini is now a fantastic choice. I went for the Mini because it fits in my jeans front pocket! Even in a regular case! Whatever the faults of the 12 Mini, the 13 really addresses them all. Sometimes it takes some tweaking but Apple finally gets it right. I suspect that the SE 4 will be a return of the Mini since Apple says the 13 is the end of the road for it as a flagship iPhone.
I’ve got a 13, it’s fine- small phones rule, and it took Apple ages to produce bigger phones - they were forced into that section of the market. After going mini, I’m going to hold onto this for as long as I can;) Apple is canning it
I have an iphone 12 mini, i use it everyday, the battery is fine, i can go to bed with atleast 30 percent left, it's really good for me (it fits in my pocket and hand) and it was cheap so i would recommend it :)
There is a sales running now from one of my local authorized reseller, the price difference for base model 12 mini and 13 mini is between almost $250 USD. The choice is clear, I will be getting 12 mini within a week.
Does somebody need more than 64G? I've got 1TB in a cloud and all my videos and photos are automatically downloaded into the cloud and my phone storage is almost empty all the time. I think you need more than 64G if you use your phone for vlogging/video. In all other scenarios 64G is more than enouth.
They're making 4 different big versions of the iPhone 16, but they won't make a Mini... Just different big big big. I can't judge what they do to make money as I don't look at their revenues, but it seems to me it would be better if they continued with the iPhone Mini if only to ensure people who like small phones don't start using competitors instead. Growth for competitors is always bad, even if it's at the cost of short term revenue for R&D and production of less popular phones. It gives the competitor bigger room to capture marketshare in the bigger phones as well as they've already got the small phone market without much effort. Fortunately the 12 mini still does everything I need it for 4 years later. It's in good shape too. If it ever breaks I'll probably just buy another used 12 mini or switch to hopefully some new and improved mini androids. I was a former android user, but they stopped making high quality small phones and focused entirely on the big flagships and that's why I got my first iPhone, the mini. Most small androids have a tendency to be very cheap and plastic nowadays since they're only seen as "phones for people who can't afford a big one" and not just a desirable phone... I'd happily switch back to an android phone if this changes in the next few years unless Apple changes their mind and makes a new mini.
most thorough comparison i ve seen so far between 12 mini and 13 mini. funny how starlight in 13 mini looks cooler than white in 12 mini. the naming has to be other way around .
ive been using the 12 mini and aboslutely love it. i hate my work phone which is a 13. i am considering upgrading to the 13 mini before theyre gone. theyre $599 right now from verizon for 128GB.
The 13 mini is still too big imo 5s/first se size(pocket phone not iPad) That being said I’d put up with the size if it had the telephoto lens Mini Pro
Extra storage, battery life, better cameras and an extra year of software support makes it an easy decision at official pricing IMO. It's going to be quite unlikely that a phone as small as the 12/13 mini will come so spending the extra cash now is worth it IMO.
@@ThisIsE it’s not the best, but gets me through the day and evening if I scale back on some of the settings (Bluetooth, ect.). I just love the size and weight!
Is it different between both phones when Im using dual-sim? Im asking about chip and battery. 13 mini should stay longer then, or we havent any difference?
I loved my iPhone 5s (my first smart phone) but I was having more and more problems and its obsolescence was near. I don't like the larger size of most of the newer generation iPhones so I resisted upgrading. I went to the Apple store to tweek my 5s but when I saw that the iPhone 13 mini was virtually the same size as the 5s (just a 1/4 inch longer) I bought it. The improvement in battery time is awesome and on one hand I'm glad that my phone will be current for several years but there are little annoying things about it. Previously with the 5s I did well with my 2 thumbs texting or emailing. With the 13 mini all of a sudden I make literally 3 times as many typos and the autocorrect is too aggressive. I'm constantly backspacing and retyping. Also, unlocking with my thumb print on the 5s was far better for me than facial recognition. In all fairness I guess Apple couldn't foresee the pandemic where we'd all be wearing masks but I'm a health professional and with wearing a mask 8 hours a day I still have to enter my security code for most of the day as the phone doesn't recognize me with a mask on. If anyone has encountered these little problems or has any suggestions please feel free to comment.
health professional who wears a mask for 8 hours every day, are you sure you are a health professional? Do you even know carbon dioxide is a poisonous waste gas? you're literally replacing 8 hours of oxygen with 8 hours of carbon dioxide everyday, i'm no Einstein but that surely must account to negative health effects in the long term
Since you have the 13 series, You can update your software to iOS 15.4 and that supports the new Face ID mask. So if you work 8 hours a day and you need that phone unlock at all time while your mask is on, that new Face ID mask it will unlock your phone just like when u didn’t have your mask on.
People make me laugh so hard when they're "worried" about the screen size...I guess I'm an old guy who remembers having an Iphone 7, SE 2nd gen, and literally everything before it.
Ironically as a first time Apple user, I bought the SE3 as I could not get my head around the £250 price difference. Gonna upgrade to that red mini when the price drops after the release of the 15 (cos that color is sick).
Same here, I got the 12 mini when it launched and I loved everything about it. Fits hand just perfect and goes in pocket, but I just can’t stand the battery with how much content I consume and my phone I use. So I ordered a 13 Pro Max
The battery on my I phone 12 mini is fine I bought my phone from new only had it a few mths no problems up to now I ❤️ this phone and I use my phone a lot
@@joanneazeez9938 Yes I suspect that my particular iphone mini 12's battery may have had a problem, it shouldn't have been at 90% efficiency after less than a year. Now I know to check that right away.
I still have the ancient original SE (not the more recent SR , the old one from 2016!)... will my SIM card from that phone fit into an iphone 12/13 mini ?? Still can't decide between 12/13 mini myself...!
Yes they both use nano-sim. BTW, the classic SE is an underrated phone for the price. I owned one for a while and loved the form factor. Eventually Best buy began selling them for $100-$200 depending on storage... An incredible value. With 11-13 series, the ultra wide angle lense is a noticable boost to photography, if you're into that. Practically speaking , better radios for more reception, and Waterproofing as more or less an insurance policy ( though my SE basically survived a torrential downpour) , plus battery life to the extent that your needs may or may not demand... The downside of the 11-13 is lack of headphone jack :-(. , And subjectively, maybe or maybe not size .
What about the case edges? I've tried 12 mini in my hand 2 years ago, and it was scratchy. I've tried 13 mini 1 year ago and it was okay. But due to your pictures, i can't see any difference. hm..
My mini 12 stays 3 days without a charge. What do I do wrong? I have 4 spare 10WT charges if anyone needs. I use some wireless charger I bought 2 years ago for other phone, so I even didn't get a cable from the box.
Theres a black friday sale on fido for the iphone 12 mini. For like $4-500. Do you think its worth sacrificing battery life? If not then id go for the pixel 6 (around $600)
Just picked up a used white iPhone 12 mini 64 Gb while visiting japan for about $390 equivalent. What a deal! (Perfect condition except the battery life was slightly degraded, but you get what you pay for and I’m generally happy with it🤷♂️)
@Guerrero it was a good deal then, but not now (notice how I posted this 7 months ago). The iPhone 14 specs weren't even released at that point, let alone the phone itself, and the 13 was still new-ish. The price of the 12 has decreased because it went from second newest iPhone to third newest. That being said a new iPhone 12 mini for $250 is a really good deal. How did that happen?
Hi! I am considering about mic & audio perception on 13mini (Clipping Noise/Bad Rec). Did u ever experienced it??Often i need to REC on LOUD environments. None of my 6 past iphones ever failed me on that. The sound is clean in whatever situation while other phones are so distorted, noisy or muffled. It's one basic reason why i always go for apple. BUT.. On my friends 13mini while we was at the same festival, has some clip noise. I don't think it's the case protector that maybe effect cause i also always had n sometimes had plenty to try.
For reference the body of the 13 mini is just about the same size as the se or 8, although thicker. The screen size is about .1” smaller than the 8 plus and 7 plus. That’s a very decent screen size in a compact body phone. The deal breaker though is that the iPhone 8 is in fact heavier than the 13 mini.
I just bought myself a 128G iPhone 12 mini yesterday... Wish I had watched your video before I purchased mine. I did not notice the price difference between the 128G 13mini and the 128G 12mini...
I have the 12 mini and ❤️ this phone battery is fine and I use my phone a lot if I upgrade it will be to a 13 or 13 mini or might even stick with the 12 regular size I phone but still keep my I phone mini as a second phone not getting the 14 thanks for sharing X
I got the iPhone 13 pro max in white 128gb and did an unboxing video on my channel! Absolutely love this phone. I also did a Spigen clear glitter case unboxing and try on, this is a great case if anyone is wanting a clear but slimming case for the 13 pro max. I love this iPhone!!!!!
My 12mini is about to drop out off contract so I could go to a cheap sim and run it till apple stop updates, or I could get a new 13mini now so I get another year off a smallish phone but at a significant cost for only a small improvement. I wonder if it’s worth waiting for the next se hopefully using this case.

6 HOURS? is it a used phone? it should last up to 17 hours if u are on the internet all day.

I was very close to upgrading to the 13 mini but decided to stay with my 12 mini. If I used my phone more I would get the 13 mini.
Just got the 13 mini about a week ago… and when I tell you I love it it’s truly the best… I consider myself a power user (mainly UA-cam and some social media) and it has been great obviously you won’t get the super crazy screen on times of the max but for what is packed inside the small form factor it’s definitely a 10/10

@@harryjones295 I’ve had it for 2 years it’s been my favorite phone I’ve ever had. But since I use it so much the battery is definitely starting to age…Apple has a free battery replacement program if you have apple care so I think I’m going to do that and it should make it feel brand new again .

The battery difference on the 13 mini vs the 12 mini is very noticeable … & not tie mention the camera on the 13 mini is FAR BETTER.
For "apple price" the 13 mini is a no brainer. But retailers often have the 12 mini (64gb) for up to $150-200 less than 13 mini when, if 64gb is enough for you, it is the better value for many. And definitely better than the terrible SE 2022.

Hi, like your video. I lucked out and got the 13 Mini for $599 plus $180 for my SE2. Total price was $480.00 at Best Buy. Note, that $100 price break is gone 😟. As for battery life, I'm not a power user as I actually use it for communicating, I turn on Low Power after it’s fully charged and wind up with 60-70% when I go to bed! The A15 and battery are a major reason the Mini is now a fantastic choice. I went for the Mini because it fits in my jeans front pocket! Even in a regular case! Whatever the faults of the 12 Mini, the 13 really addresses them all. Sometimes it takes some tweaking but Apple finally gets it right. I suspect that the SE 4 will be a return of the Mini since Apple says the 13 is the end of the road for it as a flagship iPhone.
I’ve got a 13, it’s fine- small phones rule, and it took Apple ages to produce bigger phones - they were forced into that section of the market. After going mini, I’m going to hold onto this for as long as I can;) Apple is canning it
I have an iphone 12 mini, i use it everyday, the battery is fine, i can go to bed with atleast 30 percent left, it's really good for me (it fits in my pocket and hand) and it was cheap so i would recommend it :)
How much did you pay? And where did buy? Apple sells it for $600.
There is a sales running now from one of my local authorized reseller, the price difference for base model 12 mini and 13 mini is between almost $250 USD. The choice is clear, I will be getting 12 mini within a week.
The base model 13 has 64 gb, better screen brightness, better camera's, better chip, better battery......it's worth that 250 dollar

Does somebody need more than 64G? I've got 1TB in a cloud and all my videos and photos are automatically downloaded into the cloud and my phone storage is almost empty all the time. I think you need more than 64G if you use your phone for vlogging/video. In all other scenarios 64G is more than enouth.

They're making 4 different big versions of the iPhone 16, but they won't make a Mini... Just different big big big.
I can't judge what they do to make money as I don't look at their revenues, but it seems to me it would be better if they continued with the iPhone Mini if only to ensure people who like small phones don't start using competitors instead. Growth for competitors is always bad, even if it's at the cost of short term revenue for R&D and production of less popular phones. It gives the competitor bigger room to capture marketshare in the bigger phones as well as they've already got the small phone market without much effort.
Fortunately the 12 mini still does everything I need it for 4 years later. It's in good shape too. If it ever breaks I'll probably just buy another used 12 mini or switch to hopefully some new and improved mini androids. I was a former android user, but they stopped making high quality small phones and focused entirely on the big flagships and that's why I got my first iPhone, the mini. Most small androids have a tendency to be very cheap and plastic nowadays since they're only seen as "phones for people who can't afford a big one" and not just a desirable phone... I'd happily switch back to an android phone if this changes in the next few years unless Apple changes their mind and makes a new mini.
most thorough comparison i ve seen so far between 12 mini and 13 mini. funny how starlight in 13 mini looks cooler than white in 12 mini. the naming has to be other way around .
ive been using the 12 mini and aboslutely love it. i hate my work phone which is a 13. i am considering upgrading to the 13 mini before theyre gone. theyre $599 right now from verizon for 128GB.
The 13 mini is still too big imo 5s/first se size(pocket phone not iPad) That being said I’d put up with the size if it had the telephoto lens Mini Pro
Extra storage, battery life, better cameras and an extra year of software support makes it an easy decision at official pricing IMO. It's going to be quite unlikely that a phone as small as the 12/13 mini will come so spending the extra cash now is worth it IMO.
And a better faster chip

I loved my iPhone 5s (my first smart phone) but I was having more and more problems and its obsolescence was near. I don't like the larger size of most of the newer generation iPhones so I resisted upgrading. I went to the Apple store to tweek my 5s but when I saw that the iPhone 13 mini was virtually the same size as the 5s (just a 1/4 inch longer) I bought it. The improvement in battery time is awesome and on one hand I'm glad that my phone will be current for several years but there are little annoying things about it. Previously with the 5s I did well with my 2 thumbs texting or emailing. With the 13 mini all of a sudden I make literally 3 times as many typos and the autocorrect is too aggressive. I'm constantly backspacing and retyping. Also, unlocking with my thumb print on the 5s was far better for me than facial recognition. In all fairness I guess Apple couldn't foresee the pandemic where we'd all be wearing masks but I'm a health professional and with wearing a mask 8 hours a day I still have to enter my security code for most of the day as the phone doesn't recognize me with a mask on. If anyone has encountered these little problems or has any suggestions please feel free to comment.

Since you have the 13 series, You can update your software to iOS 15.4 and that supports the new Face ID mask. So if you work 8 hours a day and you need that phone unlock at all time while your mask is on, that new Face ID mask it will unlock your phone just like when u didn’t have your mask on.
Im still use 12 pro want change to 13 mini but im not sure yet will that comfortable for us if we read ebook a lot

Same here, I got the 12 mini when it launched and I loved everything about it. Fits hand just perfect and goes in pocket, but I just can’t stand the battery with how much content I consume and my phone I use. So I ordered a 13 Pro Max

@@joanneazeez9938 Yes I suspect that my particular iphone mini 12's battery may have had a problem, it shouldn't have been at 90% efficiency after less than a year. Now I know to check that right away.

BTW, the classic SE is an underrated phone for the price. I owned one for a while and loved the form factor. Eventually Best buy began selling them for $100-$200 depending on storage... An incredible value.
With 11-13 series, the ultra wide angle lense is a noticable boost to photography, if you're into that. Practically speaking , better radios for more reception, and Waterproofing as more or less an insurance policy ( though my SE basically survived a torrential downpour) , plus battery life to the extent that your needs may or may not demand...
The downside of the 11-13 is lack of headphone jack :-(. , And subjectively, maybe or maybe not size .

What about the case edges? I've tried 12 mini in my hand 2 years ago, and it was scratchy. I've tried 13 mini 1 year ago and it was okay. But due to your pictures, i can't see any difference. hm..

My mini 12 stays 3 days without a charge. What do I do wrong? I have 4 spare 10WT charges if anyone needs. I use some wireless charger I bought 2 years ago for other phone, so I even didn't get a cable from the box.

Just picked up a used white iPhone 12 mini 64 Gb while visiting japan for about $390 equivalent. What a deal! (Perfect condition except the battery life was slightly degraded, but you get what you pay for and I’m generally happy with it🤷♂️)

The iPhone 14 specs weren't even released at that point, let alone the phone itself, and the 13 was still new-ish. The price of the 12 has decreased because it went from second newest iPhone to third newest. That being said a new iPhone 12 mini for $250 is a really good deal. How did that happen?

Hi! I am considering about mic & audio perception on 13mini (Clipping Noise/Bad Rec). Did u ever experienced it??Often i need to REC on LOUD environments. None of my 6 past iphones ever failed me on that. The sound is clean in whatever situation while other phones are so distorted, noisy or muffled. It's one basic reason why i always go for apple. BUT.. On my friends 13mini while we was at the same festival, has some clip noise. I don't think it's the case protector that maybe effect cause i also always had n sometimes had plenty to try.

For reference the body of the 13 mini is just about the same size as the se or 8, although thicker. The screen size is about .1” smaller than the 8 plus and 7 plus. That’s a very decent screen size in a compact body phone. The deal breaker though is that the iPhone 8 is in fact heavier than the 13 mini.

My 12mini is about to drop out off contract so I could go to a cheap sim and run it till apple stop updates, or I could get a new 13mini now so I get another year off a smallish phone but at a significant cost for only a small improvement. I wonder if it’s worth waiting for the next se hopefully using this case.

Another thing is 13 mini has a faster LTE/5G/Wifi bands compared to 12 mini.
