I like them together. They are smart and creative. Their mother/daughter bond and respect is visible. I think Karen is a hoot. Mina seems to respect her mom. They have a deep tv vibe. They can be hilarious. Did l say l liked them???

Where did you get financial backing when you first started your business being as you are self taught and not "certified, experienced" renovation people?
This is the least HGTV show that I actually like. I noticed the daughter always seems to treat her mother with disrespect and stupidity. Everyone looks at the mother like she takes no credible part in the success of this show, including some of the clients. They totally ignore her or more or less make her appear silly and stupid. Sad.
I don’t see that all. There’s good natured ribbing between mother and daughter, which does sometime cross the line, however Karen’s a big girl and former lawyer and can take care of herself. Everyone has Nina’s number, and nobody seems to let her get too controlling. She’s self aware, and knows who she is and can laugh at herself. And everyone loves Karen, she’s like a community Mom, while never falling into any Mom clichés. And they both clean up real good.
I've heard Mina use her real voice...why does she want to sound like a six year old like so many other women? Oh yeah...men seem to find that attractive
