- If you ask pilots what part they started building the Canard, then probably 99 percent out of 100 will answer that, of course, from the canard.) With this most characteristic part of the Canard RC 1600 in the Experimental Airlines style, I will also begin to talk about the design of the entire model. After test flights, the forewing underwent a number of changes. The mounting angle was increased by one degree, which made it possible to reduce the landing speed of the aircraft. Spars made of wooden slats now extend across the entire span of the elevator and stabilizer, and its leading edge is protected by fiberglass reinforced tape. As a result, the canard itself has become more durable, since when landing in grass it will always be most susceptible to impacts from vegetation. The fuselage and fin have also been modified, but you will learn about this in the following videos. And now the biggest thing we need is a 5 mm thick foam base for the laminate, which will serve as the basis for everything that needs to be done.

Tape covering and getting no wrinkles and on your foam is so satisfying feeling, imagine failing at one point when you put some time into it and destroying the perfect Surface... One time I was about 60% done with covering my new wing and I made a mistake, 65cm x 35cm was wasted and now wait for a better days in my leftovers box with such things. 😅
@@dominiq4343 Colored tape can usually be removed easily and without consequences if creases appear. But with fiberglass reinforced tape, you need to be very careful and hold it with your hand from the front, not allowing it to stick prematurely, as it will be very difficult to tear it off.

@@dominiq4343 I have plans to experiment with Canard this year. It takes quite a few flights to identify potential deficiencies. I would like to try a different type of control and a two-keel option if I have time before the end of the season. Now I’m shifting the Center of Gravity a little back, and this plane begins to surprise with its qualities. That's why I'm concentrating on this project now. But inspiration to start a new project can come completely unexpectedly and cannot be planned.
@@SerheiYatskevich inspiration and motivation is whats drive us all to create new things and improve each time. Those are the key factors in this Hobby. I wish to be home and build & fly & crash and repeat but Im stuck 750km from home. 😄

выходит, что элевоны имеют низкую эффективность в режиме руля высоты в схеме утки 🤔 и конструктивно можно , весь стабилизатор сделать управляющей плоскостью спрятав сервопривод в фюзеляж
@@dunno10 Если использовать элевоны, то при увеличении тангажа (нос вверх) самолёт какое-то время будет испытывать отрицательную перегрузку, т. е. проваливаться, а потом положительную, переходить в набор высоты. Поэтому этот манёвр при таком управлении лучше не делать у самой земли. Если руль высоты установлен на переднем горизонтальном оперении, то перегрузка при увеличении угла атаки будет только положительной и эффекта проваливания не будет.
Цельноповоротный стабилизатор на модели - хорошая идея, об этом стоит подумать.)
Утки нет ни одной в ангаре( под 50) моделей.Надо попробовать след. Летом.
