This scene was the one that scarred me and hurt me the most, maybe more than (spoiler alert) Akira’s death I think just the fact that the screen slowly closes and it just fades to a black screen and you want to feel like mikis death was just a nightmare and this was the reality, but mikis death was the harsh reality and this good ending was the dream. Idk it just hurt so much
I neglected watching devilman crybaby for an entire year. When it came out, I watched the first 4 episodes and just thought it was a stupid mashup of gore and needless sex. Now, a year later, I was listening to music on UA-cam autoplay, when "Devilman no uta" started playing. I thought it sounded awesome, so I decided to give the anime a second chance, and good god am I glad I did. I haven't had an anime impact me like this in a very long time. I finished the last episode about 10 minutes ago, and I don't know what to do now. Insane.

manga akira was a little intense so that's why he went to hell in the manga but the crybaby version is more gentle so I like to believe that he went to heaven assuming the whole time loop ending isn't what happened as for miko she probably got the same deal akira did in the manga

You know that meme clip of that guy reviewing the Berserk manga where by the time he reached Volume 13, he angrily throws it across the room out of emotional exhaustion? That’s how I felt when I finished this anime, especially with this episode.

This is very weird for me, I finished devilman crybaby last week and I’m still thinking about it today, but for some reason this scene alone really sticks with me and I can’t stop thinking about it. It embarks an emotion that I can barely described it, it’s like a weird combo of hopeful but depressing feelings, this scene also happens right after miki was shown dead to Akira which is probably the most influential scene in the whole show and it adds soo much weight to this scene alone, it shows what could’ve happen if the 2 of them actually managed to work it out and be in a relationship. Not to mention but the music is also a perfect fit for this scene, the techno beat was such good transition for the end song
@@HouseofHalal Miko had feelings for Miki but it was never confirmed about Miki being a lesbian and in the original 70s anime it was shown Miki being with Akira in the end well he wasn't actually Akira it was just his vessel possessed by Amon who pretended to Akira and he did fall for Miki and it was confirmed by the director of the anime that Ryo was in love with Akira but that love was one sided Akira did love Miki and Akira's relationshipwith Ryo was just close to Ryo as a good friend and I think that fate thing was just a setup by god to punish Ryo .

And the look on his face here is hugely contrasted with her having such a trusting look on her face at wherever the destination is... as he's driving, he doesn't look sure of anything at all... it's like he knows even after they both go to the new timeline they're going to go through this over and over again in different universes...
