I completely jumped the 7th generation of consoles because of how expensive they were in my country back then, so finally having the PS3 is like completing the last piece for my collection of Sony consoles. I'm still surprised of how ahead of their time the PS3 was, as it's pretty much the basis for the modern day console.
I bought one of the last brand new ps3 slims in 2014 from the Walmart I worked at. Only had 12gb. I always had data corruption issues. So I sent it in for warranty repair and they returned it stating no work had been done, but no further issues since. About 4 months ago I find out it magically has 250gb. Thank you Sony!
Oh! The PlayTV! I forgot how the PS3 was not only a games console but a media hub too, with video disc playback, storing photos, music, and video on the internal hard drive, but there was a TV tuner released for the PS3 in a few countries?!?! Whoa. The TV stuff reminded me of how the official PS3 and PS4 remotes were designed to fit in with Sony home entertainment device remotes of the time. (14:50) I think it's for printing photos, because if I recall correctly from a video I watched, it was possible to import photos from a camera or USB flash drive directly to the console's internal hard drive, and the console was also able to connect with PSP consoles.
