    Angle grinder strimmer!!!, ideal to cut grass, flowers, bushes, trees, plastic pipes, concrete, steel, adamantium, and all that stuff that grows on your garden!!!

    That idea where you threaded the line through the holes in the flange is genius! I have wanted to make a trimmer similar to this one with a cordless grinder but I hadn't found a way to mount the trimming line. Thanks!

    Pretty cool concepts, that's a very powerful trimmer. It must weigh a bit more than even a gas powered unit.

    Great idea!
    I would put on grinder some synthetic mesh (as a filter) to protect it from grass (dust).

    Use Shark line (.025) instead of the yellow plastic crap. Shark line is a very resistant high-end nylon and turns out to be cheaper by the yard. Really enjoyed your version of this build. Really cool.

    I modified my three blade weedeater head with three reciprocating saw blades. When I was a land surveyor we used a Shindawa it's a weed eater with a saw blade for cutting through palmetto bushes and thick brush. Some call it a Brush Hog.

    You may add a dimmer switch to increase or decrease the speed and enhance the life of the angle grinder.
    Because the tool is'nt made to do that remember allow cool the unit several minutes to avoid damage by overheating. Awesome project and you gave ideas for me in this video. thanks from Panamá.

    Cool project. Were those rubber fuel line hoses used for the cutting? Good job you use a Makita for these experiments, some if the cheaper ones notoriously blow these days.

    my lawn mower died this weekend. i almost did this with a bigger motor. ALMOST!!!, rebuilt the carb instread. but if it happens again next year. your idea will be put to work on a slightly bigger scale. haha.

    very cool! I've always thought I could make a stump grinder using the angle grinder but have never come up with a good cutter head design.... one that won't bite off too much and could handle some diet too. Cheers
