To make my vanagon run smooth I had to fix all the vacuum leaks. My oil breather had a torn diaphragm. It was also fuel injected and had some other weird stuff yours does not seem to have for timing. Keep up the good videos.
Yeah vacuum leaks are a pain to get the engine run smooth. Best thing to do is a vacuum test and then you know for sure that you have no leaks. This engine is from 1984 and even the carb has only one screw to regulate: idles screw. Thnx for watching and I’m glad you like the video’s 👍👍👍
Thnx brother, but this van needs a lot off work. Yeah a Coca Cola bottle, little macgyver trick if you don’t have the right tools. Thank you for watching👍👍
Sorry for the very late answer, it’s hospital in and out for the moment with family. And yes your right, they have to be turned two turns in after they touch the valve stam. I will correct that in the future. Thnx for the heads up.
Thnx Hubertus, yes different job and will take some episodes to fill. this project is a full look at maintenance to do some road trips. thnx for supporting me and watching this video my friend.
Yeah, didn’t had something long enough to put the oil in. Little that I know that you could pull that tube out lol ( but even that was not enough). And that van is in really good condition.

Thank you very much for the nice words. I’m glad I could help you out. Thnx for watching 👍👍
Good video although there should not be clearance on the rocker arms as there is hydraulic lifters in the wbx!
