    "Wond'ring Again" ...
Always loved that tune. Reminds me of the good old days of my youth!😉

JT was great in the early days. That said, I prefer Wond'ring aloud :D.

@@rollingtroll Yep, I like all the old 70s stuff from JT. By the time we got to "Heavy Horses," it just became painfully obvious that it was the Ian Anderson band, and has been ever since, but that old JT magic left with the '70's.

I personally wish they never invented it :D.
But yes, they are generally pretty reliable.

What you think of late 80s JVC cd players? Any good? Or have you not come across many.

I generally don't like CD players. I only like the CEC CD5, and Ayre CX7e. I am also pleasantly surprised by the Cambridge CD 6 but it's nowhere near as good as the previous ones. I also find that NAD's CD-players and specifically the Denon DCD-755AR are pretty nice sounding for a CD player. Other than that, they all sound like CD players and it just isn't for me.
That being said, in comparison JVC never stood out to me with their CD players. They do stand out to me with cassette decks and amplifiers in the more affordable range. Usually remarkably good.

Ok thank you. I have only ever owned JVC amps and a cassette deck once 33 years ago. It was a decent cassette deck. So you prefer vinyl and cassette? Would you recommend a cheap entry level record player please?

Absolutely; Pioneer PL-112D. Mount an AudioTechnica AT-VM95E cart and you have something that outperforms modern record players up to 8, 900 bucks.
If you want even cheaper, the akai AP-X1 and Akai AP-D210 are great cheap buys. The D210 should have the original Audiotechnica AT-95E cartridge though, that's part of why it's great. Another one; The JVC JL-A21. Again, make sure it has the original cartridge. Easy to recognise, it says "Z-1s" on it.
And yes, I much prefer vinyl, reel to reel and cassette. I have nothing against digital audio, I just don't think CD quality is high enough, and there's only a few CD players that manage to make something good out of the medium. And those are so expensive you're better off buying a record player and a record collection :D
