Spent a week in the Death Valley and here are some of the passes we had! it was a very windy week which was a shame but its a place I'll go back!! will spend more time and edit another video from here in a couple of weeks! - Авто та транспорт
I appreciate that several of the pilots lit the afterburners for a few moments after they passed so the photographers could get "that" shot. That's a very cool gesture on the pilots' part.

How do you know when they are going to be flying there? I'd love to be there taking some photos
I was an F-14 mechanic at Miramar from '86 - '90. Got an airshow everyday. Being on a carrier 20' from an F-14 or 18 being held back at the catapault while going full afterburner is STILL the most amazing thing l've seen or FELT, feels like your insides are shaking loose! Had an F-14 break the sound barrier just above the carrier one time. There was an airshow at Miramar and l was at the fuel farm and got to see the SR - 71 in full afterburner maybe 100' away! This place looks cool.
I was a A6e mechanic. Did 2 WestPacs on the Kittyhawk and Vinson. The first cruise for the Vinson and air shows to ambassadors of other countries was continuous. I was night check and actually got sick of being woken up by F14s breaking the sound barrier during the day. Now I’d give my left nut to see the barrier be broken again😂. Yeah, like you, spent a lot of time on the flight deck. Witnessed a lot of percussion blasts from F14s hitting afterburner at the cats, plus feeling my hair and eyebrows burn. The smell of burnt hair was normal👍

@@marc196050 Man, did l hate having to stand behind an A6 on the flight deck, they had really hot exhaust. l was standing behind one one time holding my tie down chains waiting for my bird to shut down and couldn't take it anymore. l had to drop my chains and walk away a bit before burning up.
We lived in San Diego in those days - we loved those air shows at Miramar. Getting stuck in traffic on the 15 wasn't that bad if they were out flying.
Some guys get all the good jobs LOL
About 8 years ago I took my then 3 year old son to an air show in Santa Rosa, CA. All the fighters were obviously really awesome. The one that blew me away though was the C-17 Globemaster. How short of a runway the dang thing needed for take off and landing, and the astonishing maneuverability of that plane is truly amazing.
Great vid .... I live in Australia and discovers that place by chance ! We were driving down into the valley and an F18 scared the absolute shit out of me by blasting up the canyon !! We stopped and seen a couple more over the next hour ... totally amazing place and topped off by seeing those jets blast through the hills !!

Wow! At 2:53 a C-17 acting like a fighter. Unbelievable. A big salute to all of the Air Force pilots. They keep us safe.

There are a few other really good “air show” type UA-cam channels, but Elwyn R. is just the gold standard, if I find a video of his that I haven’t watched, I watch it. Simple as that, and I’m never disappointed.

Thanks for sharing. My brother was an engineer for Lockheed and got to ride along on one test of the terrain avoidance software he worked on. He loved it but said in that canyon he just knew he was going to die. (He didn't.) Smile.

Watching the C-17 reminds me of when I flew Red Flag in C-141s long ago. One time we popped just over a peak and looked down at a B-52 crossing opposite under us. Fun.

Amazing... I could only imagine what it would be like watching it live.
Sometimes ends with injuries from burns and flying debris apparently.

Starts off with a blue camo F-16, then Harrier, my two favorite planes as a kid. Cool seeing the new ones right after.
My heart is with the F-16 though, beautiful shots of it in flight.

There are only two things you guys have over us here that visit the Mach loop in Wales, more sunshine and getting to see the AV-8B Harriers that we stupidly sold... Love seeing all the badass American jets that fly through the Mach loop when you guys come to train over here though! 😁

The Vipers painted in Lizard are Aggressors. I was a Baron controller and controlled them when they started with T-38's.

I had a field trip in geology to the saline valley and there was a lot of jet action back in 1990 or so. When I walked up a canyon, jets would swoop up over me. I hope they weren't targeting me for practice. It was pretty awesome!
