Lt. Gen Kainerugaba Muhoozi will correct us if OwanaPaedia goes wrong on this matter, which he alone knows best. We think that his 12th birthday on 24th of April 1986 might have been the first that the entire family of Janet and Yoweri Museveni celebrated together without threat of looming disaster. It might even be Muhoozi’s first celebration that was marked with a real birthday party.
Whatever the case, OwanaPaedia brings you Master Muhoozi’s 12th birthday party held at State House Entebbe on 12th April 1986, but you will not help noticing that though present, Muhoozi’s father was also snatching moments to attend to pressing state duties.

Proud of you Kadogos couldn't take my eyes off these young boyz after taking over Kampala in 1986 (listened to their bush stories at the city square) even tried to join the army but was in P6 was not allowed.

The youngest NRA kadogo would be 41 today, if he were alive. The highest-ranking ex-kadogo is a UPDF colonel or brigadier now. Cpl. Nsereko John is working on a book about their lives as I have stated in the clip.

So why didnt they dress up the kadongos? So the army stores didn't have any brand new uniforms? Some of them didn't even wash their faces! Life by then was so basic!!! His excellecy must be a workholic person, even on a party he is reading something!
@jimmy Kats, the NRA had just seized power. It was still a rebel outfit trying to fit into a government entity. The army stores that were there had all been looted by the previous army UNLA.

Thats understable,but what i have failed to percieve is how you can bring on traumatised kids, kids who have lost their parents to war criminals, who will never know what's parental love to sing on a birthday party of previlaged lad? You could see how envious they were. Some of them were singing next to tears, recalling what they went through. Life of no one to worry about you. Listen to their song it can give you a general picture of what was going on in their innocent minds. The organiser should have brought in the Kampala parents and Nakivubo primary kids to balance out. But to go to one extream end to another was a bit cruel and insenstive. The organiser , going by her english accent, she's a muhima woman. Our women intrigue and insenstivity runs in their blood.
@@jimmykats7615 If the State House wanted a full band, they would have found it any way. Inviting these kadogos to this event was a big statement. Social life is one way of healing the wounds. Wounds must be exposed to the natural medicines for them to heal properly.

@@OWANAPAEDIA that's a great question. I guess nobody knows for sure! The man was not battle tested as a junior soldier. We don't know if he's been into the trenches with no food for many days under constant enemy bombardment. Having said that, he could've some experience as a senior officer commanding from a little bit far from the front lines. All in all, he may be a good general, but that doesn't take away the fact that he's naturally shy.
