He was the best writer composer other than Johnny Marr that Morrissey lost, although there's still Boz Alain cam write and you can just tell from his diversity of music influences he's mentioned in the past that he's just got more creativeness with the right people.
Such a great show! I used to sit in my truck after work, and listen to Jonesy's Jukebox, on Indie 103.9! I used to love his mashups. I'm so happy I found this, and with the amazing and inspiring, Alain Whyte! This was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!
Really glad Alain whyte is back playing music!!!! Great composer and songwriter!!! Will you consider playing some show's with the original 91-92 line up for all the fans even if it's without Morrissey... Boz, Alain , Spencer and Gary day would be fantastic!!!!
Alain is incredible. I'm a huge fan of Moz. And now I'm a huge fan of Alain. Phenomenal musician and composer. Glad to hear how well he transitions will a capo as well.
I'm really happy I watched this interview because I've been obsessed with SOUTHPAW lately and have been interested in this Alain Whyte as a musician. I'm happy to find out he is a really cool guy
The Moz Immigrant song- "Ha, ha Haaaa, HA!" I have been following Alan White in YES for 46 years; Listening to Alain Whyte today- talented, funny! We NEED more Rock and Roll on Air, definitely!
Love the spontaneous rendition of We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful and the fun way they connect during that, because of how they can relate to the lyrics: 19:45 It shows how much Whyte is into the music he made, the way he easily plays a song he hasn't done for so long.
I was rollin with your version of immigrant song !! too funny you guys rock !! was great listening to your stories ...Alain is a great talent and super nice guy ! great show !
Of course morrissey relies on people to play instruments and make melodies since he doesn't play any instruments himself but what he brings to the table is ultimately the vocal melody and the lyrics. Before morrissey puts his vocals on it its just an instrumental piece of music but Alain Whyte is awesome and I wish morrissey was still producing songs with him
Yeah Alain is fantastic! Was and will always be. I wish the Your Arsenal line up was still together! The best line up Morrissey ever had as a solo artist! In my opinion
Cheers em up Steve and Alain! Love ya here in Frosty Boston.Oi,told ya the Chargers cant play with patriots in new england.lol.Pay the vig.Love the Smittys
Alain The death of rock n roll is due to all the pop songwriting that uses the same chord structures and similar themes Exactly why Bowie and Mercury dared to be different. In fact some of the pop that you have written in the last few years were hits but lacked the real guitar feel you are known for. Cheers. Nice to see u back Jonsey
It’s too bad he only came back recently for like two tours right after the pandemic. Apparently whoever was Morrissey’s manager at the time was difficult to work with so he left. I’m crossing my fingers that he has a bunch of writing credits on the unreleased album Bonfire of teenagers because that was right around the time he came back into the group again.
mozeppelin! Oh no,i walk down the street to get the paper a dog is barking at me,so miserable coffee or tea..I just got my asskicked by a 6 year old girl in a manc city scarf lol
@ 47:00 onwards.Nothing to do with the price at all. In the days of the monarchy in Italy the King has a specifically chosen guard consisting of 99 men, and subsequently anything really special or first class was known as ‘99’ - and that is how ‘99’ Flake came by its name,” Cadbury
You're trying to be smart but you're not. 12 Bells has a meaning to Londoner's that has fuck all to do with watches on a ship or boat. 12 Bells refers to the midday and the pealing of bells. It used to be 10. Btw 12 Bells can also refer to the watches on a ship but it's obvious Steve's not a fucking sailor.
Rock and roll could be central to our culture again, but there's no backlash or anger directed towards the mainstream, and this has me very concerned. I guess people are too glued to their smartphones to care about a revolution.
Rock and Roll is dead, born in 1960s died in 1980s, the original groups are still playing if not dead or too ill, a few groups have tried to keep it going but its all failed, we are back to the 1960s rehashing the same stuff over and over, just check out the charts today, they are so boring my dad would like them if he was alive, punk was its last shake then dance was its swan song, then X-factor and its never recovered, gigging for a living give way to Simon Cowl & Co,
When Alain Whyte started playing "We Hate It..." - I couldn't stop smiling. Such a solid dude.
God, I miss him writing for Morrissey, he was really really good.
Yes, shows how much MrVegan needs a decent guitarist and arranger.
@gonzax
God wrote for Mozza did he?
True!
He was the best writer composer other than Johnny Marr that Morrissey lost, although there's still Boz Alain cam write and you can just tell from his diversity of music influences he's mentioned in the past that he's just got more creativeness with the right people.
@@outsidethepyramidlol I see what you did there 😏
What a talent! So criminally underrated. It's a crime he's not famous as a solo artist. He CLEARLY has both the songwriting skills and the chops!
Such a great show! I used to sit in my truck after work, and listen to Jonesy's Jukebox, on Indie 103.9! I used to love his mashups. I'm so happy I found this, and with the amazing and inspiring, Alain Whyte! This was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!
always proud that this is my cuz, love always ❤
Love Jonesy and Love Alain Whyte. I could listen all day!

Watching/listening to old episodes of Jonsey's Jukebox. So good. Hope you are back on the air soon Steve. Miss your show.

There’s no better morrissey lineup than one with Alain in it.
what an incredible songwriter! Been a fan since I first saw/heard him with Morrissey
this guy is so nice, it's impossible not to be a fan.
Alain Is a Total Legend.....This interview was fantastic
Alain is a gifted bloke who is still the heart of Moz's best music.
Love the spontaneous rendition of We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful and the fun way they connect during that, because of how they can relate to the lyrics: 19:45 It shows how much Whyte is into the music he made, the way he easily plays a song he hasn't done for so long.
Love the stories working with Mick Ronson...God bless him forever.
Great musician,even better person.
I was rollin with your version of immigrant song !! too funny you guys rock !! was great listening to your stories ...Alain is a great talent and super nice guy ! great show !
What a lovely, talented chap.
I love this segment and guitarist! Thanks Jonesy.
What a cool guy and its clear to see what he brought to the table in Moz's band. One of my favorite guitar players! Cheers boys!😎👍✨
Legend Alain Whyte
What a classic interview.. these two are hilarious together, great stuff!
Alain is such a talented musician.
I know there's so many talented guitarists.... But my personal he's my guitar idol!!! One of THE NICEST gents out in the music biz!! Cheers!
What a great guy, cracking interview Steve.
What a fantastic and fun interview. I hope you get to have him on again soon.
Great insight into the studio and old band with Morrissey and your likeable humour Alain
Morrissey never sounds that good without this amazing man! too many good songs with Alain era, he is too precious
Great interview Al. That brought back so many memories of time spent together.
Alain is such an amazing song writer and guitar player, I love Moz but his music just isn’t the same without Alain’s contribution.
HIGHLY agree with you mate!
Indeed,relies heavily on others.

Exactly!
@@poetx7 Jessie is good but not as creative as Alan or the tattoo guy Gary.
Yeah Alain is fantastic! Was and will always be. I wish the Your Arsenal line up was still together! The best line up Morrissey ever had as a solo artist! In my opinion
Loving all the Moz references... and Mr. Jones and Mr. Whyte bringing out the English with laughs!
My favorite guitar player.
Yes, Steve's a legend
Perfect interview, bouncing off each other...as usual lovely
Alain is amazing
Blimey, looks great for 51!
Very talented guy.
Alain is really cool and he worked well with Morrissey, going to listen to his solo stuff
My god i fell in love with a guy... Alain Whyte i love you
Really enjoyed that fellas, cheers
Love this interview!! Good stuff.
I've been obsessed with "Southpaw" for months now......

That was 47:03 well spent gents! Mirth and music!
You are absolutely amazing for pointing that time out, as it is 10:07 right now -and time, is like a dream...
Great hearing two London accents in the middle of LA
He's using a bit of Barbarism begins at Home in that song of his towards the end.
esse cara é incrivel!!!! Faz muita falta nos albuns do Morrissey !!!
I have a crush on Alain!!!!!!!
Love Al.
The Death of Rock n Roll has a touch of David Brent about it. Mixed with Moz naturally.
The best Mozzer impression ever
Wouldn't it be a dream if he had Moz on this show as well? Doubt that will happen though.
best yet just about fellas dying laughing; from sydney australia
19:40 lovely version of "we hate it....."
I wanna hear Jonesy's version of "We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful." I bet he'd replace the Ho's and Ha's with just He's. :P
I was in the bathroom when this guy started singing here, and I thought it could've been a young Morrissey. 🤔
Whyte / Boorer / Morrissey - come back - all is forgiven!
Alain The death of rock n roll is due to all the pop songwriting that uses the same chord structures and similar themes Exactly why Bowie and Mercury dared to be different. @@MM1717mm Spank you, Marky Mark. Spank you.
I don't think Alain caught Steve's joke around 29:25...birthday of the "late" Jimmy Page
That was led Zeppelin.... How's he doing? Gotta love Jonesy.

Very cool!
is he the misxing WHAM member ???
Moz doing the Immigrant Song, hilarious
When they both played reminded me of t rex
Ummm... 12 bells is NOT 12 Noon. 12 bells is 8 pm.

The every one appreciates the late great BUDDY HOLLY. 22 dead and buried. What a waste of pure talent! Oh well!
Morrissey does Led Zep was amazing, Unfortunately Mozza would do it as Anti-Immigrant Song.
This bloke is probably the nicest...and most boring bloke...on the planet.
