    If you’re looking for other combinations for the jam, I’ve been making one from a recipe I found on line over 10yrs ago - strawberry rhubarb.
    I use fresh though and put everything in my blender for a few seconds. It’s great on toast and in skyr.
    Made a special batch for a coworker that was on a diet. I cut some of the raw honey, added a splash of freshly squeezed lime, and even froze part of the batch in popsicle molds.

    Almost the same way, I have made strawberry and blackberry jam. I use fresh fruit since I follow a seasonal approach to either fruit or vegetables and I guarantee you it works with fresh as well. There must be a bag of frozen strawberries and cherries somewhere in my dad's freezer, as well. Instead of chia seeds, I use flax seeds, and this also works. The best thing is that it's super easy to make and the end product is by a large margin healthier than store-bought jams where sugar is added. P.S. momma Autumn, Sage has to be in the spotlight :).

    • @autumnarnell1845
      @autumnarnell1845 4 місяці тому +2

      Frozen berries have more water content that helps the chia seeds to gel up. So you both are right, but with fresh I would add a tiny bit of water.

    • @ApostolosKatsioulas
      @ApostolosKatsioulas 4 місяці тому +1

      @@autumnarnell1845 That's true. Still, if you prepare a big patch of jam water isn't always needed.

    • @cm_mb
      @cm_mb 3 місяці тому +2

      I make fresh fruit jam, and I've never needed to add water.
      Fruit has a lot of water and is naturally released in the cooking process. While it cools off, some of the water evaporates and helps to thicken into a jam texture.
      I also add a little squeeze of lemon, and that helps to thicken the texture as well.

      I dont think you'll see calorie counts as AEN's strategy is not counting calories and instead counting grams of protein. Personally, I used to track calories and lost weight that way, but was more labor intensive and more importantly, mistakenly ate the wrong foods as long as it was under my calorie count.

      Think she went to a 14 hour fast now. I think to be able to get enough protein and nutrients especially while breast feeding. I want to say she said in a video that she doesn't eat past 6. So I am thinking that her eating is from 8am to 6pm

    Would love to try this bread but the $16.99 Cdn price tag makes this an unfortunate no go for me. I regularly enjoy all the other ingredients though :)

      I watched this yesterday and went back today to watch it again. She just says it while she is making it.
      2 cups frozen berries
      Splash of vanilla - about a tsp
      1 tablespoon of chia seeds
