I've never heard some of these, but in modern cars it's unnecessary to let a car warm up. If the engine is cold just keep the rpm's low until it warms up. I idle my truck for about 30 seconds at most.
Tall grass isnt great for ticks prevention, but if you dont have them it wouldnt matter

It is if it is rated high enough. However, most are not. It should be at least shade 14.
