- What is this Frankenstein of a bike? The Can-Am Spyder F3-S is somewhat misunderstood by the purist two wheel riders, but RyanF9 puts it to the test in the latest motorcycle review. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

love the "creepy, stalking from behind" footage. completely unnecessary, but perfect for the theme
Can someone explain the stalking from behind footage to me?
Is it to imitate people with pitchforks coming for him, is it to imitate big foot (aka sasquatch) since big foot MIGHT have more leg room just because of having a bigger chasis for legs, is it just to add onto the weird 80s horror movie (involving rape.. or somebody sucking a females neck mind you?)
I generally like FortNine's ~~reviews~~ ads because of the production value and I want to get into motorcycles and found his channel as reccomended to me and watched the best begineer gear, than got hooked to the tested series, then was curious to see if he tested motorcycles just to find these wonderful movie-ads, and I like them.. but.. this one just is odd to me.
The creepy footage is thrown in there because of the monster theme; as in Can-Am created a monster or a Frankenstein's monster of a vehicle.
That bit gave me the heebie-jeebies!
instablaster...
Epic camera work
Great for those who can no longer be on 2 wheels. Also, great for anyone who enjoys riding them. If you do what makes you happy regardless of “popular” opinion, your my kind of person. I’ll still wave as I go by on 2.
Indeed, Top Gear-like quality production. This guy deserves it.
This must have been before they bought a drone - it feels like a transitional video from the early guy-on-a-bike productions to the later cinematic look.
why is the production quality of all your videos so high ?
like seriously...this is great stuff
"FortNine" is a very big powersport superstore in Canada. So I assume they have some money to blow. :p
Its like watching free top gear for bikes... what a legend
Thinking the same thing...! The attention to each and every little detail is impressive, to say the least...! It's HOLLYWOOD quality...!
Absolutely love the scene at 7:57...!
Oh shit I forgot they have store.
Seems odd though, with Ryan fortnight honesty, you'd really wonder how they get sponsors / merchandise to sell.
But I guess if I'm a consumer, I'd buy what Fortnine is selling since they really criticize those stuff.
I bought one after sliding off my bike in Spain (not my fault). It takes some getting used to but it is a great machine. It is hard work when driving in the Dolomites, but for long distance cruising at higher speeds on Autobahns it is great... comfortable at 140 to 150 kmh. Love it.
Hey, do you still have it? What's the reliability like?
@@monkeydust100 Yes, I still have it. So far reliability is fine. Recall action for a final drive problem but a temporary repair (good for 13000km), still waiting for final solution. Would I recommend it? Yes.
I hate trikes, but I watched this only because you reviewed it! Awesome job as always man.
Thanks for watching! It was the only trike we'll review this year, I promise. ~RyanF9
Daniel Mayes trike for disabled person
@@menanpopstrokes4025 False... I'm not disabled and love them to bits. Even planning to get one soon.
Have trouble with my feet so a Spyder is in my future. F s model. But I'd kill do be able to ride a 2 wheeler again. But Can Am you done good.
funny how every mototcycle rider i ever knew hated trikes as long as they were healthy & able to ride ,as soon as you cant ride a 2 wheeler anymore trikes start looking alot better & as far as im concerned the can am is damn sexy for a trike ,if we live thru the coronavirus crap ,might get one ,yes people its never gonna be like a 2 wheel motorcycle ,the fact it has 3 wheels dictates that ,would still love one ,would do about anything to get back in the wind .
RF9, you're a fuqen G my dude. Thank you everyone in production for such high quality content. It is literally top tier on YT. You all are setting the bar where it should be. Keep on being the best in the business.
I've been watching a lot of your reviews. Production quality is amazing in every single possible way, and this review is no exception. Well done.
The scariest thing in this video is the reveal that there was never a cameraman and Ryan has been talking to the air this entire time
Once again, another brilliantly shot and edited review containing heaps of information and plenty of giggles along the way. You are simply talented at what you do. Nice work. You're going places, fast.
This is fantastic, best review video i've ever seen.
I got one last Monday. After 250,000 miles on powered two-wheelers, I love it.
Try an F3-T in '17 with auto and floor boards and take it on a long haul. The floor boards I didn't expect to like at all and they make sense on these (I'm 6'5" with a 37" inseam so I had them fit it out for me for the test run), it gives a better plank to push against when counter-weighting the turns snowmobile style and lets you shuffle your feet around as well. I had the inside wheel lifting when pushing hard on highway on/off ramps. Pretty fun. I think these make the most sense as a long haul cruiser because they take a lot of the fatigue out of the ride. A long run may make more sense of the utility in it.
F9 is the best reviewer I've seen yet. The only thing that even ties is old Top Gear as far as production quality and entertainment. And I'm not just talking in the form of vehicle reviews. I mean car, motorcycles, phones, pencils, computers, anything. These are just incredible.
And another quality review brought to you by all those great F9 folks!
The point you make about steering is super accurate. During my early teens I always rode dirt bikes. I hadn't ridden a fourwheeler at all yet, and the first time I hopped on one, I went to turn and I started to go the opposite direction. It was weird. Counter steer makes things totally different.
This is the best and truthful review of the Cam-Am Spyder that I have seen on the internet. I've had one since May......And I Love It
The way this video ends is absolutely fantastically gorgeous!
My neck got shivers all over the place when the camera moved into the beast even though I knew nothing would happen... But id did!!!
The best spyder review I have seen yet. Very honest and informative.
Awesome review FNine! I've been seeing quite a lot of Spyders being ridden here in Toronto. Lots of questions answered by this vid. Keep it up!
I love his production value. The ending was great. keep up the good work!
I really enjoyed this video. Well produced. Fast pace. No lingering around any point bu straight to the point. Good job!!!!
hey ryan, i just wanna say i'm a huge fan of yours... it's so much fun to see ur videos...recently i bought a suzuki gixxer 150 dual-tone model & from then on, i watched all of ur videos & learnt a lot about motorcycles & accessories in general... thank u so much man😊😊😊
@sourlemon gtfo
Another great review! Looking forward to more relevant bike reviews in the future.
you guys always amaze me mindblowing review
this channel deserve more subs.. seriously.
This channel is so underrated... literally every video is a masterpiece.
Best review I've seen on a Spyder ever. Great job guys.
Brilliant review man, keep these vids coming.
Excellent review. Well thought out and of high quality (and amusing). I was thinking about just going out and buying a Spyder but this video made me think "I've got to test ride a couple of models first to see if I want to transition from 2 to 3 wheels right now." Everything you said about cornering, handling on three tracks, the "nanny" all made perfect sense. So, thank you.
Ryan, your videos getting better all the time. Quite impressive!
Yes, I own this bike. If it took you 5 seconds to get from 0 to 60mph, you are doing it wrong. I have the semi auto and I can go it stock in less than 4. closer to 3.5
It is a beast that loves you. I've taken it on road trips for hundreds of miles and it is more comfortable then any Harley. I am about to pay this one off and I think I will get a 2021.
Very fun review to watch. So nice to actually have a video review without a person rambling. Thanks for the entertainment.
Evolution on the 3 wheel variant is cool. They look like good fun with HP and TQ numbers increasing. Maybe the future will have a dual sport versions. I have a lifetime on two wheels and for anybody that does not respect another open air vehicle is clueless. Being a motorcross rider and seeing the first UTVs offroad some riders smugged them. Now half of those riders now also have Rhinos or other UTVs to go along with there bikes. If its fun ride it!!!
Good post. The other day, I was on my F3-S and three riders on UK plates - trail bikes - snubbed me as I went past. But I have also done 260,000 miles on conventional motorcycles, and if I want to also ride a trike, I will..
I love, love, LOVE your videos. And I like the approach you took to reviewing the Spyder.
This reminds me of Top Gear's (UK) best years... Thank you so much!
Wow man, that was amazing. This is old Top Gear quality. Keep up with the great work :)
awesome review dude. I love the horror movie bits. great job.
Really high quality. Great job !
Haha the ending is just amazing. Love it
Another great video, and very well done review. Bravo!
thanks for the review on the spyder, cant wait to see you ryker review!
Nice video details of the trike been looking for videos that explain details better vs just filming while riding. Also nice video production overall. I think I am going to pick up a F3 -S toward the end of the year.
The ending was great! Subbed, thanks for your videos!
This video is worth looking, so entertaining and such quality. Congrats.
I absolutely love the way you answer the question “Is it cheap?” That is soooo funny!
Awesome video review my friend. You give a lot of information to think about if considering a three wheel. Keep up the good work and I love the horror theme. I am old enough to remember getting scared as a kid watching those movies!
Really enjoying your reviews.
really dope video man!!!!
Oh ! This was an AWESOME review, the best I've seen. You have every right to be a proud Canadian of this machine, so too, I would be proud of the Diamond aircraft you Canuck's produce! Thanks so much for this one.
Production value is great!
I NEED more of your bike reviews.
Absolute brilliant .always so funny also great reviews. thanks!
I test rode one of these a few years ago at the Galveston bike rally and it was a really nice ride. Very comfortable and plenty of power and as he said really good brakes!
Absolutely excellent review. Great production quality as always, but I couldn't help but think you released this video a month too early. :) Would have been great for a Halloween themed video. Great work as always! Keep em' coming!
Haha you're right! I wanted to do this review closer to Halloween, but unfortunately scheduling press bikes is a "take what you can get" kind of thing. ~RyanF9
Wow, nice editing!
Good video. Nice shots with smooth movements. This is what most vblogs are missing. You would think some motovblogers just like to hear themselves talk and do wheelies. Really a pleasure to watch. Thanks.
good innovation of filming everytime...ryan u have impressed me a lot ..cheers
That was an excellent review!
As a horror fiend, this was fantastic! Shots from Night of the Living Dead, to House on Haunted Hill... this was great!
wow honeslty this is the top gear for bikes... keep up the great work Ryan
Love your reviews! I have spinal injuries so I have to look at a 3 wheel which in some ways breaks my heart! I was truly hoping if you could please do a review on the latest f3 and see if anything has changed that you like better or you dislike?! Thanks again for your amazing videos and honest opinions
You must have spent a lot of time on editing, and it shows. Nice job!
Good video man keep it coming
Man you are good!! Oh and great camera shots! Subcribed
It is exactly that !!!! ...just tried one , good review .... your the best, as usual ;-)
Good review.....thanks for the honest take on the machine.
Great video even though I'm just seeing in 2021. A few things have changed with the Spyder since then, but this was a very good enlightenment video on the F3-S. Beautiful machine...
Awesome review!
Thank you so much for the reply. Im happy that you gave your valuable time to read my comment and reply me back (I really really appreciate it). Hoping to see your reviews on these bikes and more as well (Though i agree on buying the CB500X).
Best F3 review yet!
Awesome review!!
Just seen one in Asda Plymouth (UK) couldnt help but have a good look...love it
Great review. No bias, like a lot of motorcyclists I know.
Nicely done review :)
Nicely done sir!
Not into the product but man, you are taking review videos to whole new level!
Damn cool review. Thanks dude.
Every video made with quality in mind.... 👍👍👍👍
Nice review
F9 u guys amaze me w these out of the box ways u do your vids. Real quality stuff. U could do a review of a pogo stick & i bet i would still enjoy the hell out of it!
thank you for the answer ,i appreciate the time & effort ..excellent video
I love the concept of the Spyder, but I'm not yet ready to plunk down money on one for a few specific reasons:
1) Wiring Harnesses - BRP insists on using wire gauge a size smaller than Japanese bikes. They've had far too many recalls for harness issues.
2) Overall Reliability - BRP products consistently rate among the lowest in long-term reliability in studies like JD Power.
3) Maintenance Accessibility - Ever try to do basic maintenance on a Spyder? Set aside a weekend... you'll need it. BRP buries EVERYTHING you need access to.
4) Customer Support - I can't stress this one enough. I came across a man stranded on the side of the Interstate with a dead Spyder. Completely lifeless except for the dash. I watched him struggle with BRP Roadside Service for AN HOUR, only to be told at the end that his warranty was 6 months expired, so they couldn't help him with warranty coverage. They arranged for a wrecker to pick him up and take him to the nearest dealer... 60 miles away... for 600 DOLLARS!
I told him to hang up, and I got him a wrecker that was only 15 minutes away. Same trip... $120. Less than a *quarter* of the price.
If the Japanese made a Spyder, I'd buy it. But as long as BRP retains their current level of QC and customer support, I'll pass.
Great video! Love Can Am and Canada !
i only ride motorcycles, but i can see how this thing can get a person outside into the fresh air. you don't have to balance at stop lights. it can't get knocked over while parked. it is very difficult to steal by lifting and throwing into a trailer. and although it can't lean in corners it is still fun to take corners on, just like many sport cars. and the power to weight ratio makes it a fun ride
love that kind of video!
go on!
Ride safe ;)
great video mate!!!
Love the ending.
very nice edits and color!
The ending though.. love it.
Sick video man 🔥🔥🔥
This was good. Well Done!
Best motorcycle channel on UA-cam.
Thanks for reviewing this. I’m a perfectly healthy male who’s just getting into open air cruising. I just got my 2 and 3 wheel endorsement (required here in the US). I’m in the market for that very model. I love the orange pipe work. I’m also looking for a 2 wheel bike as well. I want the ability to ride whatever I want but have chosen the F3 as my daily driver. Just because I like it.
really like you camera work,,,, good job
Well done lads.
Excellent job on doing reviews. Quite fond of the channel. This is the first time im sending a comment on a channel and hoping it works out the way i expect. I always wanted to be an adventure rider like you and i finally got a chance to do it. I need your expertise to make this dream come true. Long story short, I have two options when it comes to new bike 1. Kawasaki Versys 650 ABS, 2. Honda CB500X. Now the problem is which to choose. If you can have a review on both of the bikes and let us know then that will be great. Thanks
Hello! Glad you're enjoying the reviews. I'd love to do a video on those bikes, but it usually takes a while to sort out the logistics. Long story short: I'd take the CB500X if you're interested in off-roading. ~RyanF9
Great video!
Great review! 💯👍💯
I love one of these, thanks Canada!
