Don’t Underestimate this Entry Level DSLR from 2005 - Canon EOS 350D / Rebel XT

An 8MP entry level camera from 2005 might not seem like much for the world in 2024. After using this camera for a while now I've come to the conclusion that this camera is still very much worth using in todays world. It's actually a powerful camera that can be had for very cheap.

Perfectly good camera. I've recently dug mine out with a view to getting back into photography, with the original bog std 18-55 kit and a newer 55-250 STM that I added later. Unfortunately the sensor has grown some fungus so I've opted to go for an M50 body with the Canon mount adapter and a 18-135 STM to replace the original kit lens, all 2nd hand. Looking forward to it arriving and getting to grips with all the advances!

I still have a couple of large prints on my wall taken on this camera. It was also responsible for the cover photo and centre spread in a national fishing magazine back in the day.
It was a great little camera , but subsequent models were better . Unless you have a miniscule budget , you can pick up much better featured (Canon) cameras for not a hell of a lot more money . And still have access to a vast range of lenses .
