Nikon D200 - Why is it Still Popular in 2024?

Why is the Nikon D200, a DSLR from 2005 still popular today? In this video I explain my reasons for still liking this camera in 2024, and, of course, I will also go and take some photos with it!

Tengo una Nikon D200 que fue comprada "usada", y está como nueva. También le faltaba la tapa del sincro flash. La compré. A la mayoría de los fotógrafos se les pierde por no saber guardarla. A usted le falta el protector del visor DK 21. Una pieza importante que no debe faltar. Es más grande que el de los otros modelos, y evita la fatiga visual. Cómoda para quienes usamos lentes.

I sold my original one because I wanted to "upgrade". Now 22 yrs later I found one on eBay almost new with only 940 clicks and got it right away. I love it and take it on trips and everything.

yes d200's good, i inherit them from my father incl. d60 d70s n d80, they all go w/ ccd sensors plus a ton of lenses, really love the sensor's colour rendering outcomes cheers

I’ve had a couple of D200’s but always sold them after a while for something I perceived to be ‘better’.. I’ve got one coming tomorrow (with only 9000 clicks!), this time I’m keeping it lol.

It's a great camera and the raw files are very easy to make into great images. I don't agree about the viewfinder though. Although it might be better than some other apsc dslrs it's still pretty small compared to a full frame viewfinder. Great image quality but, as you say, you ideally don't want to go above 800ISO.
