Based on experience from a short term rental several years ago the property was remodeled sometime during the mid 90s, the first generation water saving toilets were very prone to clogging and were awful compared to the older toilets from many years ago, which used something like 5 gal/flush give or take, before conservation of our resources became a hot button topic. Does anyone else recall being unhappy with the first generation of 1.6 gal/flush models ?

I can't comment much on earth 1.6 tank toilets because I avoided using them for so long! I can say once I started using Kohler class 5 and the Drake, I was impressed by what they could do! They were more reliable that the toilets I grew up with.

All these modern flushers are fine especially nowadays that many of the first generation kinks have been worked out, but I still swear by the old 3.5 and 5.0 GPF toilets which IMO also contribute to keeping the house pipes healthy with all that water pushing through. Good video.

If it’s not a newer Gerber this is my second go to for installs nowadays. Great experiment
