This channel will be mostly for toilets in my own collection, but I may film some public restrooms on occasion. I also have a few surviving videos from my previous toilet channel.
Building a new flushometer setup.
I've been wanting to try this for years! I found an antique piston pump at a swap meet and it's perfect for this. My goal is to perform flushometer tests between 50 and 25 psi which is about the least I can get away with. More to come!

#218 1938 Crane Saneto toilet after final cleaning.

These toilets are so neat! When I flipped one of them over, 12 cents came out of the spud! The siphon jet is big enough for some coins to fall into.

These turned out great! These are some of my favorite Kohler toilets.
#215 All good toilets pulled out!
Переглядів 2 тис.Рік тому
I really don't know what I'm getting myself into with this many toilets, lol! But, here are all the savable ones. 7 Sanetos, 2 Penryns, 2 Downings, and 2 Wellcomes. I'm saving all the seats. good toilets will keep their seats and that leaves 7 extra from broken toilets and toilets that are new enough not to need them.
#214 Cleaning up 4 new acquisitions!
Переглядів 1,2 тис.Рік тому
I'll film these in better detail later but they said I can take all the toilets I want. some of the Sanetos have frost cracks so I will have to look them over. the 2 Penryns are from March and August of 1939! I think they will clean up nicely.
#213 Back to back Briggs dual mount toilets.
Переглядів 3,3 тис.Рік тому
I've filmed the elongated toilet before but I don't know if I've filmed the round one before. This building was originally part of an elementary school. The toilets are dated 1977. If anyone knows the model names please leave a comment!
#212 Two broken toilets in an old mill site.
Переглядів 752Рік тому
These were an unexpected find! I'm very sure the first toilet is a Modernus and not a Compton because the back portion is shaped like a 14" rough in Modernus, and not a 12" rough in Compton. I'm not sure what the older washdown toilet is but it's very weird that they poured concrete around it! I've seen that done in some old prisons but not in a factory type building like this. I've seen integr...

I'm not that big on pit toilets but I like these pergola style buildings. In any case they are clean and nice compared to some.
#210 Drawing a basic Venturi pump.
Переглядів 285Рік тому
Here is a basic explanation of how Venturi action works. It's the principle that allows a blowout toilet to draw contents from the bowl up the trap when the jet is under sufficient pressure.
#209 Flushing Toto Drake with a garden hose.
Переглядів 706Рік тому
What's happening here is called the "Venturi affect". It's the same principle that makes a blowout toilet clear water from the bowl. There is a science to designing a good Venturi pump and I believe the Drake was so well designed that a good stream into the trapway with a hose sprayer evacuates most of the water out of the bowl with little residual water left.
#208 Dye flush test in the 2007 Kohler Gabrielle toilet.
Переглядів 712Рік тому
This toilet has been working well but I noticed a couple times that it doesn't always completely change the water in the bowl and leaves some behind. I wondered if this would show up in a dye test but it really didn't. All I had for dye was a grape popsicle which I melted in the toilet, lol.
#207 2007 Kohler Gabrielle toilet installed.
Переглядів 666Рік тому
I decided to install this toilet for a few days after which the Toto Drake will have to be reinstalled. It's a great looking toilet and though it doesn't have the flushing pawer of the Drake, I have had good use from it so far. It's decently quite too. The seat is a Kohler French Curve.

Could you please stop lifting the lids off with one hand, they don't like to be dropped. Also, did anyone ever explain to you that the rough edges of the ceramic are like sandpaper when it comes in contact with the glazing. You know a lot about these and I appreciated learning quite a bit since I'm looking to purchase a Modernus. Thanks and please be a bit more careful with them. Every vintage sink, tub or toilet I look at has been chipped, broken or SCRATCHED due to carelessness, it gets old because it's usually preventable damage. Cheers, GK
That’s a sterling model m single head cool find
I just got one of these! It's round.
@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Sweet! These have TINY trapwaus so I don't know how well it will perform but I love the style. I've uses them on flushometer before and didn't have trouble.
Epic!
So old! Where is it located?
❤❤❤❤
Cool project! I can't wait to see the end result. I'm impressed how much pressure you can create with just a hand pump, and one that's 100 years old at that!
I have a well, is 39 ft can i use this guy to pumo water??
@sayasolomon7813 yes it would pump from that depth.
One of those fancy Sloan Optima systems on there or something. Very unusual with the button on the front especially and I have no idea how they manages to make it work that way... Unless if the inside of the button is exactly like the inside of the handle on a normal valve. Regardless of that, what a nice and very clean restroom.
@thecan8460 Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a full mechanical button like normal. I like it because it will always work independent of the auto sensor.
Nice find
Trapway on the elongated one reminds me of a 1970s-1980s Kohler Highline
oh my goodness the toilet paper doesn't look that old. Hope no one has used that toilet.
Thankfully no! It was full of plaster that fell from the ceiling. I've since pulled that toilet for salvage.
Epic fixtures
@@samanthataylor8606 I'm glad you enjoyed them!
I know of a building in north texas toward the oklahoma border that has a bunch of these. I believe there are 6 floor with them
These are NOT good. The following Water Guard generation with the cornseed trap is much more efficient and effective. And that's from experience of installing both in my own bathroom
I do see how your Penryn appears to be the previous generation against your Downing and Rockwell. The one I found was a late 50s one with the same style base as your Downing. But by comparing the features of the back of the bowl, I have determined the one in question is a Penryn. The video is out now if you'd like to see it
If only you could throw in the Highcliff to complete the set
@corwynkingston3714 That would be nice! Unfortunately I've never come across one for my collection.
@@vintagekohler6085 it is kind of intriguing how similar all of these toilets are in bowl shape and design.
That looks brand new!! Good job 👍
Super cool!!
Super rare find!
@SICplumbing Thanks! I've been volunteering here for 5 years and I have a number of toilets from this building now.
Neat find! These are pretty uncommon in elongated too.
Amazing fixtures!
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 awesome
❤❤❤
Of course you breeze through the one part I was hoping you wouldn't. I was curious about sink names.
Nice toilet I like the older elongated toilets.
