Thanks so much dude, my fav and main since CVS2 was Yuri and this helped me round out my team well. Heres a thumbs up for the only guy ive seen properly cover KOF tutorials. I also see that you play Abel and hes my main in SF4, realy like your vids and the characters you play. Hope to see more.
I know the following is pretty much niche info, but there is actually a use for her Max cancel... that being the fact that you can do it anywhere on the screen. If you're playing King as a mid or anchor, are cornered with full bar and want to prove to your opponent that you're godlike... hit them with a poke and go into HD from it. Stand C, slide, EX super, Neomax. For bonus points, do your best CVS2 announcer impression as a followup. "That's what we like to call BIG damage! :D"
Considering that LK and HK trap shot are not low-invincible on startup, how exactly would you explain this to a beginner? I think I know what you're talking about but it doesn't simply "beat" lows. I can't think of a precise way to explain it so I didn't want to give a beginner something to think about which ends up being a fringe case in real matches.
I suppose its not totally intuitive for newer players. One situation it does seem to come up in is if someone either staggers lows or is frame trapping into a low. Trap shot wins when it feels like it shouldn't. Took me a while to get used to that before I picked up king myself as there was a player who would constantly trap shot from disadvantage and I would be tearing my hair out trying to figure out why it worked.
7 years later. thank you very much!
Amazingly helpful info.
Hell yeah
"lets try this again"
*spams LK as fast as humanly possible*
i died
my favorite part lmao
Wow, I've just been playing the game for a month now and settled into King/Takuma/Vice. You couldn't have timed these videos better. :D

THANK YOU! This is useful for me, because King is my favourite character.

Definitely think its worth mentioning regular Trap Shot crushes lows.

I'd umbrella it with "beats with the right timing" or something like that

I would love for them to fix the subtitles but also keep the current ones as another setting for them just for the lulz.
can you make a Kula guide
Will you be doing a video on Robert?
These videos are the shit.
Got hints for Ralf?
you hardly find anything helpful on kof, thats why i had to subscribe. great king guide. could we see kyo or kula soon?
thanks man!
That's not necessary info for a beginner. These videos are not intended to cover everything, but rather the essentials.
