I don't know if Diablo III it's a good game but because of cinematics I can say that Diablo II and Diablo III are not related. It doesn"t seem to be the same story.

I dislike how the 3rd games story has changed the entire feel of the universe. Now its more like Dragonball. The battle of giants, demons and angles. Men don't really matter anymore; and the interesting act of destroying the world stone seems forgotten. And so is the dark horror and slightly more believable fiction of the 1st two games
You know I don’t think Diablo 3 is all that bad of a story In of itself. Granted it has issues, like the lords of hell being mishandled, could have been far more menacing but the constant taunting somewhat cheapened it, azmodan in particular. Also it dose seem to be a completely different game tone wise to D2. And while I think I preferred d2s darker approach, I don’t think d3 is the abomination hardcore fanboys make it out to be. The story is compelling enough and it dose a good job of pulling all 3 games together as well as keeping Diablo as the final villain (discounting maltheal).

You should include the cut scenes form Diablo 1 too!!!!! So we can see how the wanderer started from the original hero.
It's out there! :P There's two seperate cinematics at the end of D1 that are relevant- one where you, the wanderer, jab the soulstone into your forehead, and one where the narrator describes your urge to head east, just before the game ends.
Every game Blizzard made before WoW had impossibly amazing storytelling. Every game after felt like bad fanfiction.
excuse me? Trolling match or what? Blizzard still made the best storytelling of all games out there. You are forgetting that Blizzard North do not make story`s aka diablo 2 and 1 creators. Those are made by blizzard them self. And not the 3part company Blizzard North.

What I know for sure is that it's not the same people. I can guarantee 100% without having to look it up that the people involved in the Diablo 2 story and the Diablo 3 story were different just by looking at the relative quality of the cinematics and cutscenes.

Diablo II is the best
Diablo in D3 looks different because his host is a female. In D1 and D2, his host were male. That's why he looked so masculine in D1 and D2. It also explains why Baal has access to magical abilities, since his host is Tal Rasha.
diablo looks like that because it isnt just diablo. the being you fight at the end of d3 is actually the prime evil which is all 7 lords of hell combined. hence why he was able to take over the heavens because what held the 7 lords back was all of them wanting to defeat heaven themselves so they didnt work together.
I would like this turned into a full length movie. I think someone like Steven Speilberg would bring this epic to life. If done right it could be one of the biggest box office drawers of its time. It would be a graphic representation of Revelations. It's hard to believe that someone hasn't done this yet.

Just make a box office movie already! But the actors must be well chosen. I say for the 1st movie 🎥 a paladin, sorcerer, n Barbarian 1st paladin becomes the wanderer. 2nd movie introduce the necromancer as a bad guy turned good and a new Paladin. 3rd movie the witch doctor b/c she’s been preparing for the moment for of the prime evil for ages it was ancient knowledge passed from Witch to Witch. If u need a love scene in there make it the paladin and the sorcerer. Amazon can b the character that is a lone wolf n doesn’t like to stay with the group but is alway showing up at the right time to save someone. Paladin’s gonna have to be the main character kinda like Ironman to the avengers. Movies must be rated R.

I still coming back to diablo 2. I played diablo 3 once finished and never came back to play it. Diablo 2 is so much better game and they simply fucked up d3. D2 look more horror and serious to me.

Ironically, some of the friends of Jay Wilson called out Hellgate London when David Brevik said Diablo 3 wasn't the game he would have made.

At the very beginning of the game there is a cinematic where he's at a tavern and The Wanderer comes in and literally raises hell. Mesmerized, Marius follows him East for a while before fleeing Tal-Rasha's tomb and witnessing Tyrael engage The Wanderer. After seeing what he sees and trying to talk about it with others.. I guess that's how he winds up in, what I presume to be, a medieval nuthouse. haha
TL;DR: Basically he's just a survivor and narrator to the plot, describing seeing the hero from the first game lose control of the demon- right where the last game left off.
Diablo III ruined Diablo. Sensationalist hyped up bullshit ruined the storyline, especially the expansion. They pulled a classic "Hey I know we'll kill off a main character". Whoever ran the project making that game, seppuku yourself.
The killed CAIN WITHOUT EVEN GIVING HIM A CUTSCENE. Shitty game. Shock factor, word of mouth, sales is what drove the story of the game. They killed the series on purpose.

Diablo III is a piece of shit with a horrible storyline, better graphics and feels like a proper Hollywood propaganda.....black man saves the day and must not die...Diablo looks like something fetched from a "parade" ....just wow. The only good part of Diablo III is Malthael's line "No one can stop death". Diablo series ended with Diablo II...the rest is made only for profit.

It's not about horror you moron, it's about design and concept art. The 3rd game lost all of the concept art attached to Diablo 3 and gave it a totally different spin so that large casual audiences would find it easier to recognize and more attractive. It's pretty much an executive decision oriented towards larger audience over quality that you're here defending like an idiot.
