    I have been on one commercial turboprop in my life (ive been flying commercially [alone] twice a year since i was 10 till i was 20 and occasionally after that) ive been on basically every type of commercial jet flying in north america in the last 20 years but the turboprop was definitely my favorite experience. Basically i wanted to fly from florida to some small city out west but the city next to it was the one with the big international airport and that city just had a little regional. Dont remember which airline but apparently they had a few king airs laying around for just that occasion.

    Greenland 🇬🇱 Air Fleet is amazing, such as the International Airport of Nuuk, not yet finished. These planes look very comfortable and roomy, the view awesome. Great video!!! 👌😍🇵🇭

    Nice video! I've watched many of yours but I can't remember you ever saying what the internet speed was there in Nuuk. It would be a nice vacation spot for a few weeks if the internet is fast enough to do what I need it to do! Anyway, thanks for another good one.

    Very cool video! Have some Danish friends living in Nuuk, on my to visit list! Most beautiful country. Air Greenland has an A330-800 on order, so will be an even more comfortable trip in the future and from a brand new enlarged capital airport! 🙂 Will definitely be a big draw for tourism and business opportunities to have a capital airport connected directly US and European capitals! Subscribed to your fascinating channel! Many thanks 🙌

    Hey Alex, this was a great video. I always like seeing the Air Greenland planes - very cool. Kangerlussuaq Airport looks pretty nice but I doubt it will be needed once the new Nuuk airport opens in a couple years. Are there any Customs formalities when you fly to Denmark or is it considered strictly domestic?

    • @AlexAmasaOlsen
      @AlexAmasaOlsen  2 роки тому +4

      Yes, Kangerlussuaq is definitely going to slow down when the Nuuk airport is done. But nobody knows whats going to happen, as Kangerlussuaq really depends on the airport for jobs, income etc..
      The flight is international, but no passport control when you enter Copenhagen airport

    • @tammytambrella6816
      @tammytambrella6816 3 місяці тому

      The old airport isn’t being expanded to create the new international airport? Instead the new airport is being built in a new location? Yes, that might displace people and businesses that depend on the airport income. Maybe the locals that are employed by the current airline and airport can transfer to the new airport? That way they would have a steady job and not have to worry about unemployment.

  • @jcmat9917
    @jcmat9917 2 роки тому +1

    Love how live it looks, makes you feel right there, not just watching!! And the fact that you can still get actual food… WOW. So, at the present time, no matter what, the layover in Kangerlussuaq is still necessary, correct?

    • @AlexAmasaOlsen
      @AlexAmasaOlsen  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, from Denmark you always land in Kangerlussuaq😊

      There are direct flights from Nuuk to Keflavik/Reykjavik using Dash 8 turboprops with special extra fuel tanks. But you would still have to change at Keflavik to go to Europe.

    How long was your layover in Kangerlussuaq? I am flying this same route from Nuuk to Copenhagen in July with a 50-minute layover in Kangerlussuaq. Is 50 minutes enough time for a layover in Kangerlussuaq?

    • @AlexAmasaOlsen
      @AlexAmasaOlsen  2 роки тому +2

      My layover was about 1-2hours, as long as your flight isnt delayed from Nuuk, you should be Ok.
      The international airplane usually waits, if the domestic planes are delayed😎

    Beautiful video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
