Voices of Change: Rev. Michael Bernard

The "Voices of Change" campaign continues with the powerful story of Rev. Michael Bernard, a Chicago native and survivor who has endured the impact of gun violence. Having experienced gun violence himself and tragically losing his brother, Michael opens up about the trauma's lasting effects and the importance of seeking help through a collaborative community.
Michael is a member of One Aim Illinois and board member of the Freedom to Choose Prison Project. This program is working to transform the lives of incarcerated individuals through compassionate experiential education that has been proven to reduce prison violence and recidivism.
