    My aunt would pressure cook drum then can them.She would cook them just like salmon patties.They were delicious.

    Freshwater drum! I save the back straps from them and season in water. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Refrigerate till cold . Dip in shrimp sauce. Cut into shrimp size pieces before boiling. Good stuff! The ones I catch in Lake Michigan I batter fry. Good clean meat in the clear lake.

    ive ate many drum and love the meat.but the thing is they need to be on ice as soon as you catch them.they die rite away. get them on ice.

    We get a ticket trying to fish off a bridge like that in ky but if its leagal for you I would do it too !!! Nice channels and drum is not bad eating if they are under the 5 lbs mark just cut off all fat and red meat .worth a try ! I like them ok !
