Great video. Reminds me of Checking a limbline hooked to a willow tree years ago. Cicadas all over the tree. Limbline had a nice channel cat on it. I opened it's gut and it was plumb full of cicadas. I started fishing with them and throwing under trees over the water. I took home a big mess of catfish . Thanks for bringing back memories.
Fun fact for you that you may already know, the Copperheads love eating these things as well, so be careful and watchful for those copper heads that blend in so nicely into tree bark and leaves etc. Man, you sure do have a bunch of them Cicadas on your property, that is awesome, I have never seen so many of them. Rain, Yes sir, it's bound to happen. How awesome is that, already have a really nice one on the limb line. I so agree, those are some good eating fish right there, love to eat them. That will make some awesome fish tacos for tons of folks.

I'm so envious of you,, back in southern Louisiana, i always lived on a bayou. Fished all the time ,just walk out back door and throw out a line.
