Oh yeah. Growing up outside Toronto as a teenager in the 80s was amazing - we had constant access to so many amazing bands. I never missed Rush when they came thru town, every entire summer loaded with shows at the old Ontario Place Forum, Maple Leaf Gardens and the Kingswood Music Theatre at Canada's Wonderland. Great, great years.

Please consider supporting Triumph by watching their new Documentary "Triumph Rock and Roll Machine" from the same film company that has worked with Rush and lots of other Legends. It will be the best $5 to 6 US Dollars you'll ever spend, guaranteed!! I've already seen it 3X in consecutive days because I was a huge Triumph Head in high school especially, and got to meet all three in '86 while representing MCA LABEL as their youngest intern ever. A dream come true in itself. Just got so lucky that Triumph happened to be on MCA at time, which was a lucky coincidence, (Rik was my guitar idol because of his broad range, playing anything from classical, Metal, Rock to flamingo, while I was in my room after school learning one song after another on my Les Paul(one of last ones made in Kalamazoo, Mi just prior to moving to Nashville😂). They put on a clinic for all bands at The US FESTIVAL('83)because their set was flawless!! Well done film with stories galore. It's a prescription for 90 minutes of happiness with the memories to follow

My favorite band when I was 18. Love it, I saw Triumph twice growing up. They had one of the best light shows in the arena that I remember. Their self-titled initial album was a hit, and 5 albums later was Allied Forces that they skyrocketed off of. Great band live, even better studio.

Hiya Redheadedneibour. Try these Triumph songs, at the end of this comment, if you can find live videos (not the studio tracks), cuz these songs are sung by Gil Moore, the drummer! Yes the vocal duties are shared by Rik Emmett, the guitarist, and Gil. The majority are sung by Rik, just to be clear. And he sings background vocals in this video, but if you want to hear the true sound of Gil, check into these tracks. Even if you have to listen to the album versions, you'll hear the difference between the two. Anyway , the songs: I Live For The Weekend, I Can Survive, Fool For Your Love and American Girls, to name a few. Love your honest reactions. Cheers from the home of power trios, 🇨🇦!

Triumph had quite a few hits, including Lay It On The Line, Fight The Good Fight, Allied Forces and Hold On in addition to Magic Power. However, their best song (IMO) is a very progressive song called Blinding Light Show/Moonchild. Amazing song, has a bit of a Rush mixed with Yes sound.

I met this band after their very last concert at Kingswood, Canada's Wonderland in the late 80s - to celebrate their fans, they held a huge invite only BBQ after the show and my girl and I won passes. The band cruised around the BBQ and took time out to talk with all their fans and sign autographs, it was a blast, but bittersweet as it had been their last show as Triumph.

Saw Triumph a bunch of times. Always great in concert. Bumped into Rik Emmett once in Yorkville about 10 min after I literally had Randy Bachman bump into me (they were doing some session together apparently)... and bumped into Mike Levine when a buddy and I went to 97 Rock in Buffalo (cross border concert shopping) to get tickets. Both Rik and Mike were awesome to meet.

Fun fact: Triumph actually co-headlined some big outdoor shows with Journey this same year in 1983. This song, Magic Power, has been a lifelong soundtrack to many an early 80's music lover and Triumph fans. The power of music and what it means deep within your soul.
Ticket sales on this day (Heavy Metal Day) were 375,000. Band lineup from opener to headliner were as follows:
    Quiet Riot
    Motley Crue
    Ozzy Osborne
    Judas Priest
    Triumph
    Scorpions
    Van Halen

Not to brag, but shortly after Rik Emmett left Triumph he released a solo album called “Absolutely“ and went on a club tour of the US in 1991 to support it. One of his stops was in my hometown of Westminster, California. The club where he was playing was a mere 20 minute drive from my place and I got to watch the man play from about 15 feet away. It was an amazing night and of course this song was included in the Setlist. I didn’t get to see the festival, but I got to see Rik Emmett’s nose hairs. 🤣

Now I watch all kinds of reaction videos on my favorite bands but the reactions are always for the Mega hits. I I'm a huge triumphant. I think one of the greatest songs is follow your heart. No one has ever done a reaction to that song. Foreigner a great band long long way from home is an amazing song no one has done a reaction to that. Reactionists need to go into the full catalog just like you did with Rush. Sure do enjoy your show thanks very much. The joy you get from hearing some of these oldies is apparent and infectious. The smiles and reactions are really refreshing. In addition to this video, I loved when you watched Rush;s Spirit of the Radio from SARSstock. Seeing your utter joy was wonderful. I have to say though, the most moving moment was when you were watching Rush's Limelight and the line "I can't pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend" was sung. Your interalization of that line was really moving.
