- Step 2 in the process of rebuilding Brandon's "06 Miata. The car is stripped of the front end and the motor is removed along with most of the wiring, hoses, A/C lines, etc. so that the engine bay can be readied for paint.

I’ve had a couple NC’s and my old red one was my favorite. This time I wanted to pick a red that I liked over what Mazda picked haha.
Def like the sound of a bigger capacity 4cyl, more power, more torques 🤙. Interested to see the electrical side & more vids 🤜🤛

Hello there exelent job with the engine swap on that miata cx-5. I have some questions. I recently bought 2006 cx-5 2.0 engine automatic transmission for my son with a bad engine, and if I do the swap to 2.5 can I use the exhaust manifold and cat from the old motor, also the intake manifold and valve cover ? Thanks 👍
Yes, you reuse almost everything from the 2.0
Hey, thanks for this video guys, I am in Australia and I am thinking about doing the 2.5 swap on my NC, but I am struggling a bit finding that duratec engine, I think there are some Mazda 6 that have this one but do you know how can I distinguish them? is there any marks or something?
We will be doing a 2.5 swap video soon and there’s also one on this car. We’re going to go more in depth with the upcoming video to stay tuned.

Other than bolt-ons the engine is stock with no plans of internals.
Hi, I'm pulling the engine from a NC Miata now. It looks like the radiator is a good distance forward of the engine. Is it necessary to remove the radiator prior to dropping the engine from the bottom? Thanks.
Not really necessarily but is helpful to have it out of they way
