I've been excited to tell this story for 5 years! And I hope that you enjoyed it! If you don't mind sharing a little feedback - do you like these 'people stories' the best, where I go on a wild adventure to find a really interesting person? Or do you prefer budget content, or food content? Your feedback is really important to me, as I'm always trying to improve my storytelling. Thank you and have a lovely day!

Hyena man is the craziest person I've ever seen! You are so brave, I would never do that dangerous thing! Perhaps it is your adventurous spirit that has made you so extraordinary! You did a really great job, thanks for sharing! 👍🤩🙏
That was so brave of you to take part in the hyena feeding! Ethiopia is at the top of my travel wish list.❤Thanks for sharing your unique experience in this amazing country.
This is how it should be, since human took all the land for these wild hyenas. Im not Ethiopian, I admire these. Living along in harmony with these wild animals. Just amazing ethiopia. ❤
It's just nature. If a lion were here, it take their land and then eat them. Mankind is the ultimate apex predator on earth. It's just how the world works.
A teacher I had spent 2 years teaching in Ethiopia and he also went out with this guy to feed hyenas in the night! Thanks for showing me what that must've been like
I worked with ladies from Ethiopia when we lived in DC. My naive knowledge as a child of Ethiopia was what was shown on those TV commercials where everyone was poor and starving. These lovely ladies quickly said, "Oh no, there's so much more to Ethiopia." They took me and my husband out to an Ethiopian restaurant and wouldn't let us use any utensils. We had to eat the meal like them. OMG!! It's seriously the BEST food you'll ever eat out. I'm so sad I live too far away from one. These women were some of the nicest ladies I have ever met. I loved the experience and knowledge about their food and culture they gave us. I'll never forget it.

Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God in flesh, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting, so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and Bible says that His Blood will cover all of your sins, you will be forgiven, saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read the Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!
Harar has been on my bucket list for years. I didn't make it my first trip back in 2016 but did get to do a 4 day trek in the Simiens, visit Danakil Depression, Lalibela and Gondar. Got so lucky and saw wild Ethiopian Wolves too on the trek. Ethiopia is hands down one of my favorite countries to date

Beautiful video. Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world. One of the first Christian countries. Islam and Judaism reached Ethiopia very early too. Although the majority of Ethiopians are “Orthodox “ Christians, Muslims are also a big number of Ethiopian society. The “ Bete Israel” are the Ethiopian Jews and are very small in number compared to the christians and muslims. There are also around 80 ethnic groups. That’s what makes Ethiopia a very unique, diverse and complex country. For the most part, the Christians, muslims, and Jews live in harmony. Some ethnic conflicts, but the vast majority have no issues regarding religion/ethnicity. Thank you Drew for this very informative video!
Hey @DrewBinsky, I'm absolutely thrilled to see that you visited Harar, Ethiopia! It's such a remarkable city with a rich history and vibrant culture. Good work Drew. I am an Ethiopian American who grew up in Ethiopia and moved to the US as an adult. I recently got back from a trip to Spain, Morocco and Portugal. Think of Harar’s walled city of Jagol, as the Medina of Marrakech. The narrow lanes, stalls, spice markets and friendliness of residents and colorful attire as well as the food is eerily similar. I disagree with the statement you made regarding Yemen being the birthplace of coffee. Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and the term coffee comes from the word Kaffa, a region in South Western Ethiopia where coffee was first found. You were fortunate to have tasted Harrari coffee; it’s the smoothest, fruity variety unmatched by any coffee in the world. If you plan to visit Harare again, please make a pilgrimage to Kulebi Gabriel. Similar to Teressa of Avila and Mary of Fatima, you will experience renewal of faith and witness miracles of healing. The best time to go is mid December. Thanks again for sharing a piece of Ethiopia with thousands of your followers. Find your motto of conquering your fear and experiencing life admirable and inspiring.

Great video once again Drew, I think this video just shows that you can live alongside wild animals when you have respect for each other, it would also be interesting to see if hyenas could be domesticated seeing how they learn from this guy and understand his commands 👏

I totally disagree with the notion that coffee was from Yemen. It is indigenous to Ethiopia. The very term Coffee is a name coined from a name of a place where the plant/seed is originally discovered. It is called Kaffa, in southern Ethiopia.
I heard : "kaffa" was named by Amir nur of harar during his expedition in the late 16th century over the Ethiopian highlands. it was during that time the coffee seed were brought and planted by the solders, because expedition takes long.
@@ElliNaz-sg3xt respectfully disagree with you. Coffee was in Kaffa way before the 16th century. The 16th century is when it was introduced to the rest of the world via the Turks who arrived in Ethiopia supporting Gragn Mohamed who at the time was at war against the Christian North in Ethiopia.
Wow!! 🤩 So incredibile images and story! In every part of the world you can find so incredibile cultures! Also We been doing reportages to see what is normal for other people and find new stories 😍😍

Thanks drew for visiting back my country 🇪🇹
As an Ethiopian you described Harrar and by extent the whole country so well in this one video. Props to you and love from Ethiopia 🇪🇹❤️
