Im watching this in 2020 and I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You are the first person to do this in a way that I can understand and I can actually do this. I plan to try this style as soon as my hair grows enough😍👏👏👏
After watching a 100 videos on doing this finally I got here and one watch only am here with my yarn twists looking all fabulous and snacky go girl🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love this. The explanations are clear, and it was at a great pace. I do want to say that there was emphasis on twisting each piece in the opposite direction to incorporate the hair but you actually twisted them in the same direction and then proceed to twist using the opposite direction. Just clarifying!
So glad I found your tutorial! Hunny!!!!! I am in the boonies and my hair is breaking because I can't do a protective style at my length. But you just saved that. I had some yarn lying around and tried this. It worked Perfectly! Heading to the store now to grab the colors I want!
Beautiful! I am inspired! I’ve hesitated to do twists with my hair as they can be thin, but the addition of the yarn is so beautiful. You look so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing and inspiring! 💖
Great tutorial! I've been wanting to try yarn twists, but it's waaaay too hot out for me to wear them right now, so I'm just going to wait until the fall.
This video is like over a year old but I still want to thank you for making it! I’ve wanted to try yarn as a way to add color back in my hair. I had all blue hair but all the bleach just ruined my curls. I’m really excited to try this! Even if it’s just for a little pop of color underneath
Yay was looking for this , thanks for being so kind and helpful. Loving all these helpful youtubers man ive learned like 1000000 things in thr last few years xoxooxoxox
Great tutorial! Your explanations are very clear. I'll give it a try anytime soon. One question though: how do you wash your hair? Does shampoo damage the braids a lot? Cheers from Paris!
I do not understand in 2023 that people ask how to do something with UA-cam, I don't get it. I haven't seen a hair salon in 8yrs which saved me a lot of coins, btw, your hair looks beautiful I'm on the color too.
ButterPecanLaudat at the root where I attach the yarn, I sorta turn and twist the first 5-7 times just to make sure the yarn it’s locked onto my hair. As I continue on town the twist, I’m just doing twisting. Good question!
But can we take a sec to acknowledge you radiant beauty!? You're features are perfect, regal, and worthy to be immortalized in art! And your smile could end wars!!! I just love seeing my Beautiful sisters killing the game!! #webeenwinningtheyjustnowrealizingithaaaay
I'm almost ready to try this on my daughter and I'm so excited but also nervous!! Thanks so much for this tutorial. It's the best one I've found by far! I thought of some questions. How long do you keep the yarn in? (just noticed below you said 4-6 weeks. My friend said she left them in for 4 months lol. What happens toward the end of the 4-6 weeks?) Also, I heard you say that you blow dried your hair and I've never done this on my 5 1/2 year old. Does this straighten the hair some to make it easier to work with? Any tips or specifics on how to blow dry the hair? My daughter has a really high volume of hair. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
cdropable Thank you! To be honest, I’ve never done this style with synthetic hair so I don’t actually know the answer to that question. I would assume that synthetic hair would be heavier since it would require more hair to get the amount of fullness that yarn naturally has. I hope this helps!
Kindly list out the hair products you used to keep your hair moisturised, i cannot see or hear their names clearly. Can Cantu products also work fir it?
Ps you have beautiful hair!!! Im alittle nervous b.c. i have very long hair, i have grown it since i was like 10 (30 now) ...i dont want the locs to be too too long cause like you said it will be heavy, also will be cool to wear shorter hair...any suggestions?
Ray g Thank you for watching! I really appreciate it! Unfortunately I think the yarn might slide off your hair! But I’ve had some friends with your hair type that use synthetic hair or human hair weave to do it and it seemed to work for them! I’ve personally never used those hair types, so I’m not sure if you use the same method to install them as I do here! But I REALLY hope you find a way to jazz up your hair (even tho, I’m sure it’s naturally lovely!). Good luck 💜!!!
this hairstyle fits you, you are really beautiful and that lipstick is gorgeous
Donyelle Hagans wow! Thank you so much for those beautiful compliments! You should try the lipstick! It’s Cyber from MAC!
Im watching this in 2020 and I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You are the first person to do this in a way that I can understand and I can actually do this. I plan to try this style as soon as my hair grows enough😍👏👏👏

Oh this is SO much easier than using a knotless braid method to feed the yarn in??? I’ll absolutely be trying this.
Beautiful! I am inspired! I’ve hesitated to do twists with my hair as they can be thin, but the addition of the yarn is so beautiful. You look so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing and inspiring! 💖

ButterPecanLaudat at the root where I attach the yarn, I sorta turn and twist the first 5-7 times just to make sure the yarn it’s locked onto my hair. As I continue on town the twist, I’m just doing twisting. Good question!

Please how many yarn did you used for your hair??
Hello Dr, did you use cotton yarn for this?
@@trudyblessed701 hello! I used acrylic yarn.
Omg you can use yarn for this style
Is this the same method for doing twist with braiding hair?
How do you get the twist to stop unraveling on it’s own? Thank you.
Very pretty
Crystal Thompson thank you!!! P.S. My maiden name is also Thompson! We might be cousins! Lol
Yup might be lol
WOW that is really cool! I want to put a few on the side of my head, but would this work for my
Asian hair? It's too straight.
