- Are your dungeons looking dreary? im not surprised, cos theyre dungeons...but not all dungeons need to look boring. Maybe you should add some interesting scatter terrain to spice up those encounters.
Dressing up a dungeon can be alot easier than expected sometimes. So why not add to the ambience with good old piles o'stuff. You obviously wouldnt have the same kind of bits available as I did but here are a few ideas for you to enjoy :)
And why not check out Angry Stag Wargaming and find yourself some cool dungeon scatter bits like barrels, crates, treasure piles and skulls and more here angrystagwargaming.com/
Below is a list of a few links to amazon for the products i use in many videos. Not all of the products are used in every video but they can all be found here for your convenience. These Bits are the holy grail of every terrain builder :D
Blimey 😊 thank you very much. That's some top level compliment dude 👍🏻🙂
Thank you for watching
With a 3D printer its possible grab a lot of free STLs and make bits of furniture junk and barrels. Really like what you did with these pieces.
It is indeed 🙂 I've since bought a 3d printer and it's a game changer. Thanks for watching
This is so good! Hell, I recently saw Blandco’s video on making Junk Walls that serve as blockades and borders during Siege Combat! All of these serve a function for immersive storytelling :)
That's what D&D is all about 🙂 these junk piles are great for crafting a detailed dungeon, plus players can search them for loot (which is something my players like to do alot)
@@irongryphon
Oh indeed! Can’t forget about that Loot :D
Thanks for the shout out bud :) Great video as always, keep up the good work!!
No probs 👍🏻😅 thanks for the box of goodies.
Hey! That's a great way to populate a dungeon, and giving more personalities than just regular corridors. Nice build :3 Keep up the good work!
Cheers 👍🏻😀 who knew piles of stuff could be so interesting 😅 thank you for watching
after many attempts to craft my own barrels ( what i term now "The Great Barrel Battle") i am very jealous every time I see a cast barrel ... another great video - love the ideas of blocking passage ways and place to discover things or have things discover you auuughhhh!!!
I certainly could never craft barrels, at least not efficiently enough in good quantity for my builds. So I generally buy them in from a decent crafter. I would suggest checking out angrystagwargaming if you need cool stuff like that
Great job again... piles of stuff but a ton of talent in putting all that together.
My like of course👍greetings
Cheers Gustavo 👍🏻😀 greetings to you too. Piles of stuff are pretty useful, there's so much you can do with them. Thank you for watching.
Little bucket of DREAMS you got there. Jealous of that variety of bits esp because miscasts are always useable. Great video
I agree 😅, obviously the company can't sell them because they aren't 100% perfect but I refuse to waste them 😅 feel free to visit their website, the sculpts and casts are excellent 👍🏻🙂
@@irongryphon they need to sell them as rejects, if we go looking for rejects and get these awesome. id be over the moon
Great scatter. The pile of bones looks super cool
Thanks bud 👍🏻😀 yea who doesn't love a good pile of bones 😅
Great video and ideas, I'd love to see more scatter and dungeon terrain! Thanks.
Cheers bud 👍🏻🙂 I have a few ideas for mini builds/dungeon scatter for future videos so stay tuned. Thank you for watching
InstaBlaster
Very cool!
Really good stuff.
Cheers bud 👍🏻😀
I’m fairly new to this hobby. Love your channel great instruction/inspiration
Ah thanks buddy 🙂 really appreciate you watching 👍🏻
Thats a really awesome way to handle miscasts!
Thanks bud, I'm fortunate enough to get my hands on quite a few miscast bits and pieces to use (for free🤫) in my builds. Thanks for watching 👍🏻😀
Angry Stag I've heard of them I think I bought a bag of resin skulls off them.
Looks dope AF! The moss tho... It's not like you not to introduce the moss! :D
Haha you're right, please accept my humble apologies 😅 thanks buddy
Keep it up man!
Much appreciated buddy 👍🏻🙂 I got lots more ideas floating around the noggin 😅
that's great scatter.
Thanks very much, it's something which i think is really simple but can add alot to an encounter 🙂👍🏻
I love it!
Cheers 😀👍🏻 thanks for watching
Wife: What are you building?
Me: Piles of Stuff
Wife: 😑
We need piles of stuffff 😬
I'm not sure how it would react on chip board but a few channels I watch that that does dioramas usually pre-wets the surfaces they're about to put the plaster on.
Like I said I don't know how it would react and if it would warp the chip board but I'm sure you try a test price. Even if there's any warping that's what hot glue and wax paper is good for lol.
I would try it myself but I don't have the stuff myself yet to try it. Just going around looking for ideas for simple an easy scatter terrain for table top gaming.
Yes, pre wetting the surface will help plaster/sculptamold afix to the surface so long as the surface is porous. The moisture helps to draw the plaster into the porous fibres of the surface.
Best of luck with your modelling endeavours sir 👍🏻🙂 thank you very much for watching
@@irongryphon okay I was just checking because I've never used chipboard before I've seen and I've seen where people use plaster on dioramas and they pre wet the surface.
Also also thank you. I've made terrain for a Warhammer 40K but I've never made it for table games like D&D. I was just scooping UA-cam and getting different ideas from different people
Nice work. What did you use for the coins?
Thank you very much 👍🏻😀, but at the beginning of the video, I explain that the treasure pile is a resin cast. I got it from a company called angry stag wargaming. They do superb scatter terrain for dungeon encounters and fantasy builds. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Terrible corner filles with bones ! Could you give me the title of the First music ? Thank you.
It's called "since I started - roll in vinocor" I believe. It's a royalty free track that came with my software
Iron Gryphon Studio: merci beaucoup !
Its the footage of the gold one missing?
The gold pile was a resin cast I managed to get hold of from angrystagwargaming.com
what about the gold? just dump glitter on the wet plaster?
The gold piles were purchased, I think I mentioned at the start. I got them from angrystagwargaming.com
awesome builds :D yea how are they miss-casts? or was it that he sent you "miss-casts" wink wink :p
i'm currently in the middle of making some bone/skull piles using a base of large polystyrene balls for skulls and bits of my house rabbits hay as i noticed that the small bits which i find poking in my feet kinda look like broken hollow bones. then i glue on some actual skulls over the top with maybe a skelly arm or leg. they so far look really good.
Great idea 👍🏻😀 I bought a pack of games workshop skulls ages ago, and it's possibly one of the best things I've ever bought 😅 skulls for every situation.
I don't know, some of those "miscasts" are basically perfect. I suppose it shows the level of perfectionist that angrystagwargaming operate at. Honestly I'd have been happy to buy those 😅 (but not complaining that I got them for free)
They look great quality. maybe they could sell bags of assorted miscasts, there is clearly a market for them. i'd buy them for a start.
I had a similar though to be honest 😅 I'll suggest it to the owner
PLEASE PLEASEPLEASE tell your, brither i think you said, to put boxes of these miscasts for sale on their site
Waaaay ahead of you 😅 if you contact him through the website and offer to buy some random miscast, he may be able to work something out with you 👍🏻🙂
