    As a Pay n Pak fan back then, we had high hopes for 1972 as Billy Schumacher had won the last 3 races of 1971 in the Pak but this would be its lone race win. Muncey and the AVL won all the other events.

    it was clear who the better driver was. Sterrett should have never let Muncey get on the inside. He was just fortunate that he had the boat under him to stay in it and that Muncey ran into traffic on that last lap. What a stupid mistake. Schumaker never would have let that happen.
